The media could not be loaded. Very sharp set of knives. The black look is sleek and fancy. The block is made of plastic and has a built-in sharpener that works excellent with all of the edges. I like the plastic block because although the wooden ones are heavier, they tend to mold inside the area areas where the knives go. Let’s start with the positive. First, you get a lot of knives for the price. Second, they are sharp out of the box. Third, you even get the kitchen shears (we can never seem to have enough of these around) and the block has a sharpener in it. And this set looks nice sitting on the counter, all black out and sleek looking. Now here is where I feel this set falls short. First, everything is plastic. The block is plastic, the handles are plastic. This makes everything very lightweight. To me, this feels very cheap. And some of the plastic handles have a rough edge here and there from the molds. I have other knifes that have a plastic handle but the blade goes all the way through and they have some weight to them compared to these. I wouldn’t know without breaking the handles open, but they feel like the blade probably enters the handle and doesn’t go much further. Very light. Second, the blades themselves feel thin, particularly the steak knives and smaller/thinner knives. The larger knifes feel better. The scissors are ok but on the smaller side. The bread knife is probably the winner out of this entire set. If you are looking for a full set of knives and you don’t have much cash to spend, these will do the job. Just be realistic with your expectations when you are spending less than $50. Read more

These are fantastic! I can't believe the quality for this price. They are SUPER sharp. I used the paring knife on a tomato that was rather squishy, but it cut through easily. These are much sharper than our previous set, which was an expensive brand. I also like the low-profile block.
