Bought this as a gift for our 42-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it. No more hand grating with the stand grater. Sooooo much easier and faster and fit the machine well. Made her wonder why she hadn't done it sooner (well, I guess because we didn't buy it for her sooner-ha ha) Update: While the product worked great, it was missing part of the packaging and did not look like the picture. This is really a great attachment shredder. It works great. The old white one that kitchenaid had was so hard to remove. This one removes easy. The only drawback is it is not as large as the white ones were. To slice potatoes, if they are too big you have to cut them to fit. This one has a smaller opening. It's worth it to me because I can remove on my owm. Read more

Sure sped up our zucchini shredding time. We had a ton of shredding to do and this made it much faster and easier. Cut perfectly once we got it to a size to fit in the chute. A bit messy as it leaked out as we shredded. Not the easiest to clean. Read more

Grates cheese very quick and easily. This was getting to be a big problem for my arthritic hands. The only problem I have had is disengaging the blade. Cheese seems to clog up on the bottom of the blade. This makes it hard to pull out. Thank heaven for a strong husband. Easy to clean after getting apart. Love it. Read more

Shredded 5lb of cheese, no problem. The only issue, and it is minor, is that sometimes chunks of cheese get wedged inside the cylinder and don't get shredded. Not a big deal to me. I will probably try freezing my cheese for a short time prior to shredding to see if that helps. The parts appear to be well made. I was willing to spend the extra money for a name brand attachment, and I'm happy I did. Read more
