Works great at reducing lime (calcium) scale
Live in an area with horribly hard water, got the anti scaling cartridge to make our water heater last longer and not fill up with white flakes. The first cartridge (OEM) lasted 5 months, Installed one of these a couple of weeks ago and the build up of Calcium on the shower and dish washer has stopped. These work as advertised and if they last half as long they are a good buy! Be aware , this cartridge does not remove sediment or smells, it just does a magnificent job of preventing calcium buildup on dishwashers, showers and such. (The heating rod in the dish washer was white, now it is black, and the sides of the washing compartment are shiny again.) Read more

Really happy with the filter
Plumbed it inline with my water heater. I was having a lot of scale buildup in the tank from old galvanized water lines. This filter seems to have cleared up this problem. I haven't had it installed for 6 months yet , so I don't know if it will last 6 months as advertised. Really happy with the filter. It is a good idea to drain your water tank a couple times a year.
