Knives are one of those things I typically would try to avoid buying online. But after a recent move where I could only find one single steak knife i decided to go for this very pretty and affordable set figuring worst case, it would tide me over until I could get something better. Since they're fantastic, my shopping is over! The knives cut everything like butter, and the fact they are dishwasher safe makes them perfect on every front. I always wait to review products like this until i've used them a while. The set includes a knife for literally everything. A highlight was the other day when I forgot to thaw something and needed to cut it in half. I left it on the counter for about 10 minutes and figured. I'd put one of these knives to the test, and maybe be able to get a cut started. To my great surprise, I was able to cut straight through the still frozen middle of the item. I've had high end knives that didn't do that. Combine the pretty color and convenient block and I'm thrilled with this purchase. A bonus was how well packed it arrived, with high quality materials. With similar priced items you're lucky if they even include a poor quality flyer. If I didn't know what I'd pay for it, my guess would be at least triple the price or more. Update: I reached out to the seller regarding the damaged/used knife set I received. The seller responded promptly and made sure that I was sent another set. I am still currently waiting for the right set to be sent out but it should be on its way soon. The customer service has been nice and not difficult. The company was able to view and address the issues and come to a resolution quickly. The knife set is uniquely designed and very sharp for real unlike other brands claiming to be sharp but aren't or go dull within weeks. This company seems to not only strive to continue to make good quality unique products but also stand behind their products with great customer service. If something is/goes wrong the company will make it right. For that I am pleased and have changed my review from my original below. I kept one star since I haven't received the new set yet and the other was a doosie. I will update you guys when I receive the new set and increase to 5 stars as long as it arrives with no issues like the last ones and also update you on my experience on how they perform. Other than that, this is a great set that I do recommend anyone buying. For yourself or as a gift. Either way, you won't be dissapointed. FYI- the purple is not pink. Some reviewers say it looks pink. And show pictures of the set looking pink... I guess to each it's own. I went based on some reviews and the purple is not pink. Chopping block insert for knifes worn and wood shedding from knivesgoing in and out, scratches on one of the knives. The chopping block has been painted over and you can tell the paint dripped down and dried that way...Gross!!! I am so sad and dissapointed. You can see in all my pictures everything that's not right about what I received. For all of this I can only give one star. 0 if I could have, but that option not available. These knives are very sharp and very gorgeous. Has a built in knife sharpener. The only flaw I found was the meat scissors are junk. They are flimsy and do not cut very well. Otherwise worth the money. Read more
