These look great, and are certainly affordable. However, like others have said, the anti-rust coating will come off. Only one or two of the most-used knives, the steak knives, have had some of the coating scratched off, though none in food. We do machine wash them though, and it does say that hand-washing is recommended for longevity. With that said, the sharpener will definitely help scratch that off, too, but I still appreciate it being included. And the scissors are fantastic! I still recommend them though, just be aware that it will come off. Otherwise, it hasn't come off a lot despite a few months' use, so I can't complain for the price, and the handles will stay clean (not wooden) and they and the block will hold up well otherwise.
