I am really happy with my new Astercook Knife set. Actually I liked it so much that when I visited my sister on the mainland in California, I ordered a set for her. The knives are so sharp, as they should be because they just arrived, but I really like the sharpening feature on the wooden block that the knives are stored in. Great value for the money and the dark black with accent orange color matches the colors in my kitchen drapes. I have had a set of knives with wooden handles for 30 years, but the wood breaks down and holds moisture. I really like the material that the handles of the knives are made of and I feel they clean better and do not hold germs from cutting meat. I'm happy with this set of knives. They're good quality and fairly sharp. No rust as of yet and the black color hasn't chipped off any of the knives. The weight feels good in the hand and they're easy to clean. The only thing I would change is to have one less steak knife and one more paring knife or utility knife since it only comes with one of each. I also like the built in knife sharpener. Read more

This knife set is a must have, they are really beautiful and amazing to work with. I just got mine 2 days ago and I used it for the first time today to cut up some leg quarters and it sliced through the leg and thigh like butter. This set is so amazing I might buy another just to have extra knives. The are extremely sharp so be careful if you are not skilled with knives... It's definitely a must buy and to be honest I wish I had them sooner.. You will thank me later when you slice your next piece of meat, you will say damn I really did need these knives... Great set; it takes up minimal counter space compared with my last, cuts great, included sharpener was what sold me. The orange trim is very orange in real life and stands out more than I had thought it would (not in a pleasing way), but we can live with it. Read more
