I was pleasantly surprised that the knives and block were so well made considering the price was reasonable. I already had 2 knife blocks on my counter - a cheap set given as a 'store giveaway' item (buy this and get a set of knives), and a nice set of knives that was gifted to me as a wedding gift 35 years ago. The cheap set didn't have a full tang (the blade didn't extend the full length of the handle) and so were flimsy and 2 of the larger knives had gotten dangerously loose - but I use the steak knives from that set DAILY. The other set was truly nice, and high quality - but only had a few knives and no steak knives. So I decided to replace my two sets with one single set -- THIS set. This set has all of the knives that I need - the knives are sharp, the tangs extend throughout the handle, and they are made well. The knife block is well made as well, and the set has a nice feel in the hand. The knife handles are not wooden, and so can tolerate dish washing without worrying about the finish. (Though I still think hand washing will always be the preferred method for washing your kitchen knives.) If I were forced to "ding" something in my review, I'd pick the shape of the handle on the knives. The handle is tapered, and provides no ridge/grip to rest your pinky against, so if you have wet hands I'm concerned about losing grip. Do not take this as an indication that I'm not happy though.... I purchased these knives back on Amazon prime day preparing to move into my first apartment in January. I’ve been holding onto them ever since, and anxiously waiting to see what they would actually be like when I opened them up. My initial review is that they are excellent quality, easy to hold, not bulky and overly heavy, yet still sharp. I appreciate that this set includes a knife sharpener to ensure that the value and durability of these blades continues. I think if I had any critique, it would be that I do wish that we could’ve purchased the set in different colors. I think a black aesthetic would’ve looked better with my kitchen, but that of course, is an incredibly picky thing to complain about. 😂 Overall, I would 100% recommend this! Read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this set! Overall they look good and have a small footprint on the counter top without taking up a lot of space. Aesthetically they look like a high end set of knives despite the price. Compared to sets seen at the big box stores that run well over $80.00, these are an overall great value. They work like butter cutting through steak as opposed to having to really work at it with an older set. This ensemble of knives has everything that is needed for everyday kitchen uses. Read more

I have only had these for a week and so far I like them. They were nicely packaged and the knives and block would look nice in any style kitchen. My only complaint so far is that the knives are much heavier than the knife set I had before, so it took some time for me to adjust. I should also note that I purchased these knives hoping they’d last a few years until I saved up for a professional knife set that chefs use. Overall, it’s a great purchase for the price. Read more

Got this two weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. The wood block is heavy, has a nice heft to hold the weight of the knives. The knives are sharp and cut through vegetables very smoothly. The sharpening tool is a great addition and would be useful if they go dull. So far they’re sharp and I’m not worried yet! This was a great value for the money. They look great on the counter and the set had everything I was looking for which included a sharpener and steak knives which not every standard set has. The block is sturdy. The knives are sturdy and dishwasher safe (as far as I know) which were my other marks I was looking for. Covers all the bases. The media could not be loaded. This set comes with a knife sharpener! These knives are very sharp and good looking. There were a few times I almost cut my finger, so be careful. I have seen some reviewers saying water go in the handles, I have never experienced this problem. One thing I noticed is that if you wash the knife and leave them dry over night, the tip of the knife will get rusty. I suggest you to wash, then dry right away. If you take good care of these knives, these will be your favorite knives, they even replaced my expensive ones. I used the knives to cut salmon and pineapples, they made cutting so easy! If you are looking for inexpensive and sharp knives, this is a great set to buy. Read more
