A good umbrella at last! Very sturdy and attractive. Best of all, it works and the opening of the umbrella is quick, smooth and reliable - unlike the umbrella I'd bought from a different manufacturer only four weeks ago which opened once and never again and is now adding to our landfill problems. Small (fits nicely in my briefcase) but strong in tough winds. I've used Knirps umbrellas for years and they last. However, there is a tradeoff to having a small, compact lightweight umbrella--in a mildly windy rain, your legs may get somewhat wet (the umbrella will protect your head and top half). Occasionally, in a strong wind, the umbrella may invert, but unlike those cheap umbrellas you get at your local store, the metal ribs on this Knirps umbrella do not break. Read more
