I bought this for my tennis pro son-in-law for his birthday. I also bought a large ipad. He uses it to show his clients how they look while playing tennis.. It identifies areas they need to be aware of while playing. This has worked well and held the ipad without a problem. He is a great son-in-law. Read more

The product is very nice, appears to be well made, and arrived on time in a multi-item shipment. In my mind I knew exactly how it would mount on my Manfrotto ball head light-weight tripod. Upon inspection of the tripod-product ball head it immediately became apparent that there was a problem. The Manfrotto head mount threads are huge compared to the product threads. I re-read the product description to see if the mounting screw was mentioned and I didn’t find any specs that would tip me off to the incompatibility of the parts. Luckily, I rarely throw away still-usable things like my older tripod. I retrieved the older, much heavier tripod from storage and was pleased to find the threads to be compatible. I attached the product to the old tripod using the mid-point attach point and, after some adjustments, successfully attached my iPad Pro in landscape mode to the product holder and tested it for ease of use. Tests were successful and operation was acceptable with some limitations due to the old tripod attachment configuration. I have not tried the portrait attachment point on the end of the product. I hesitated to give it 5 stars but decided to anyway because it really is a nice product that performs acceptably given the comments above. It would be even better if there was an adapter included that allowed connection to the larger Manfrotto threads. I recommend this product with above caveats. Read more

Our kids are doing online classes and the current tablet holders we have are at a 45 degree angle, so they basically just show the kids' heads and ceiling. I wanted a better holder so that the camera can point downwards and that would give me more flexibility for display. Since I have a couple of tripods, I figured I'd get a mount for the iPad, but it was difficult to find a good product that accommodated the iPad Pro 12.9". This tablet holder does the trick. It holds the iPad Pro 12.9" in a horizontal grip and the included ball head allows me to switch the iPad to vertical orientation without having to use the tripod head's pan/tilt function. The holder grips the 12.9" iPad Pro in its Apple silicone case and still has room to spare for a slightly thicker case. I don't know if it would go to an Otterbox/rugged case depth, but it might. It would not accommodate a big, spongy kid's-style case. The ballhead mount to attach the ballhead to the iPad holder is good quality hard rubber or rubber coated metal with texture to make it easy to tighten. The ballhead has no adjustment for attachment to the tripod mounting plate. The holder and ballhead are sturdy enough to easily accommodate the big iPad's weight. The tripod I'm using in the photos is my lightweight Amazon Basics tripod and is the least sturdy of all of my tripods: I wouldn't trust a digital SLR to that tripod, but the iPad Pro 12.9" is fine in any configuration the ballhead allows. Slight design flaw with the butterfly screw for the ballhead: It's pretty much the same depth as the ballhead, so it rubs against the tripod mounting plate when I turn it. Should be a little smaller or the ballhead base should be a little bigger. The ballhead arm is also kind of short, so expect the mounting plate and/or pan/tilt head of your tripod to prevent you from going perfectly vertical. My iPad sits against the base/struts of the tripod in the vertical ballhead position. I have no opinion on the remote shutter that comes with the mount since I use my watch as a remote when needed. Overall, though, it's exactly what I was looking for and is a good value in my opinion. I'm ordering another after posting this. Read more

I purchased another holder but it did not hold my iPad Air plus case securely. This mount works great and is easy to use. The width of the clamp was able to to hold my 0.59 inch thick iPad Air case. I used this mount plus another product purchased from Amazon (Full Aluminum-Alloy Foldable Tablet Stand Holder with Lanyard Support) to attach my iPad Air to my DJI Mavic Air Drone Remote Controller. I am very pleased with this set-up. It allows me to use my iPad to view/control my DJI Mavic Air easily. Note, the iPad plus case is heavy so you must tighten the "screws" on the "Red" RC mount holder. I purchased a separate 7 mm nut driver to do this. Read more
