We have been giving our 16 pound Shih-poo these balls since she was a puppy and she is now 4. Getting pretty disappointed in how the squeakers don't last very long and we have to keep buying new ones. It's comical having her running around squeaking them, but unfortunately I don't think the 3 last a month. She doesn't tear up the balls, she chases them, grabs it and squeaks them a few times. I only let her have them maybe a half hour a day so it's not like she sits and keeps gnawing on them. The alligator didn't squeaker didn't last long either maybe a day but it was a bonus so not too concerned about that. We had bought another Kong toy at the local pet store and the squeaker in that one quit also. Read more
The media could not be loaded. My 11-week-old border collie mix LOVES his new stuffed alligator and his collection of mini squeaky balls. His inner border collie is on full display with these bite-sized tennis balls as he’ll run around the house to collect them and bring them back to his doggy bed. His only complaint is that he hasn’t yet mastered the art of carrying his stuffed gator and a squeaky ball at the same time. He loves to chase them around the hardwood floors and backyard. I keep one in my pocket on walks when I need to get his attention. My adult dog also appreciates that these keep his baby brother occupied so he can sneak in naps while puppy plays. These are a perfect affordable option for those with a baby puppy! As anyone who has raised a dog can tell you, baby puppies—especially when they’re teething—are going to rip toys to shreds. These hold up just as well as the expensive toys they sell. 12 puppy-sized squeaky balls and a little stuffed gator for barely a buck apiece is a great deal, especially when your puppy absolutely loves these! Have a lot of Kong toys and they are normally very “tough” and resistant to damage. This alligator toy was destroyed in 5 minutes by our bulldog. Stick with other brands or Kong toys you can feel before purchasing. The balls that were packaged are basically tennis balls with a squeak function. They’re ok. Read more
So, my active goldendoodle ripped the poor alligator to shreds in about five minutes. However, the squeaky tennis balls are her new favorite toy. It's a great jaw workout, and she can't puncture the tennis ball like she could an ordinary squeaker. It comes with 3 balls (great for when one or two roll under the couch), and she can't get enough. I would not repurchase the alligator, but the tennis balls have held up for a couple months, and are still in great shape. Read more
After a year with my Boston Terrier puppy the only plush toy she had to survive was a Kong moose. I wanted to get her another one, but a little smaller. This alligator is perfect! She’s already thrown enough abuse at it to destroy a more cheaply made toy and not a stitch was loose. But even more than the alligator my dog LOVES the little squeaky tennis balls they threw in. Bosties have really small mouths and it’s super hard for them to grip a normal size tennis ball. These small tennis balls are the perfect size for her and also stand up to a ton of abuse. So if you’ve git a little dog who can still chew the heck out of anything, I highly recommend this product! Read more
