It is too smooth for any chair to roll, making it a true glass surface. I thought my chair wheels which tore down a Polycarbonate chair mat into pieces under an year will make marks on this mat - no marks even after 3 days of heavy use. It is heavier and thicker than regular mats. Arrived as a heavy one piece glass well packed. Its quality is unparalleled. Value for money? I believe it is going to last for a long time - but will update in a year (the life of my previous Polycarbonate chair mat). Its stays put on carpet (pile loop). Overall (4/5): I thought this product was good. I haven't utilized the customer service. My office chair was hard to move around in on the carpet, but I've had a plastic mat that wore out and didn't want to experience that again so I chose a glass mat. The mat sliding and the green tint lowered the rating, otherwise, this was a good product. Functionality (4/5): It has held up so far (3 months) and it feels that it will for a good long while. The chair rolls much better after replacing the plastic chair wheels. I don't recommend rolling plastic wheels along glass. The stickers on the bottom of the mat don't work that well. I even stacked two on top of each other and the mat still slides toward the feet of my desk. The carpet isn't tall either, so that part I was disappointed about. It is fairly heavy and wide but I was able to carry it alone. Appearance (4/5): The box is marked clear/transparent, but there is a tint of green to it. Very smooth rolling with my wheeled office chair. Heavy-duty and seems as though it will last a very long time. I have both the grey and clear versions, and recommend that you install the included grabber dots if you are using it on carpet, because it will slide bit by bit as you use it if you don't. I only discovered these were a thing through a reddit thread. I was constantly buying a new plastic mats to put over my high pile carpet once a year. Every year, over that time, the mat would get cracks in it. This glass mat is an absolute game changer. It's smooth to role on, it can handle a ton of weight, and I cannot see any reason this isn't going to last me years and be the best value for me in the long run. Oh and it looks great! Spend the extra money on glass mats if you have a high pile carpet and stop it with the plastic mats! Read more
