Rating: 5/5 Initial Thoughts I was looking for a reliable set of floodlights for my backyard motion sensors that wouldn't have a harsh, clinical "hospital" look. These KOR LED PAR38 bulbs seemed to hit the sweet spot for specs and value. Packaging The bulbs arrived packaged well, ensuring they were protected during transit. There was no rattling or damage upon arrival, which is always a good start for lighting products. Construction & Materials They feel very well made with a sturdy plastic body and lens. While they aren't quite as heavy as a traditional glass bulb, the heft feels of quality. They are close enough in weight to feel substantial and not "cheap" or hollow at all, which gives me confidence in their durability for outdoor use. Ease of Installation Installation was as simple as any standard bulb. I replaced my old outdoor floods with these, and they fit perfectly into the existing motion light fixtures. Final Thoughts The light quality was excellent. While I don't have a meter to measure the exact output frequency, the color appears to be exactly within the 3000K "warm white" range as advertised. It’s a perfect fit for my backyard—bright enough for security but with a warm, inviting tone. I personally dislike the cooler 5000K or 6000K whites, and these are a much more pleasant alternative. I also ordered the smaller PAR30 model of this bulb (which is about 2/3 the size and slightly less bright), and the color output is virtually identical between the two. Both types are excellent in terms of overall quality. I attached an image of my light fixture with 1 PAR30 and 1 PAR38 for reference. The PAR30 light seems to be identical in output color and I really could not tell any different in the actual lumens/brightness. Very impressed, and highly recommended. Read more

The KOR PAR38 LED Flood Light Bulbs (2-pack) are a solid upgrade for anyone wanting brighter outdoor or indoor lighting without the energy waste of old incandescent bulbs. What impressed me right away is that they use only 15 watts of power while delivering the brightness you’d expect from a traditional 100-watt floodlight. That’s a big win for cutting down on electricity costs without sacrificing performance. In terms of lighting quality, these bulbs produce a beautiful 3000K warm white glow. The color feels soft and welcoming, not harsh or overly yellow, making it a great option for patios, porches, driveways, garages, or even indoor recessed lighting. The output is strong and even, and the beam looks clean and well-distributed. Build quality also stands out. The bulbs feel sturdy and well-made, and the frosted finish gives the light a smoother appearance rather than an intense glare. They’re also wet-rated, which makes them suitable for outdoor fixtures exposed to rain or moisture. The fact that they are UL listed adds extra confidence in safety and reliability. Installation is easy thanks to the standard E26 base, and they fit perfectly in PAR38-compatible fixtures like recessed cans, track lighting, and exterior floodlight housings. Another feature I really appreciate is the smooth dimming capability, ranging from 10% to 100%, which allows you to adjust brightness depending on the mood or setting. Most importantly, the lighting remains consistent and stable. There’s no flickering, flashing, or uneven performance, even after extended use. Overall, these bulbs deliver excellent brightness, warm tone, and dependable durability, making them a smart replacement choice for both indoor and outdoor lighting needs. Read more

I should first note that these 100W equivalent lamps were used to replace 65W fluorescent lights, so naturally they will be brighter than the fluorescent bulbs they replaced. These bulbs seem well built and worked perfectly when put in place. The brightness is clearly higher because of the wattage equivalence but not enough to be an issue, especially since these are on a dimmer. I was a bit concerned with how the dimming would work since I had an LED that I had tried out some time ago where it dimmed slightly then suddenly shut off completely while the other non-LED bulbs were still working. But these dimmed smoothly and went from very low light levels to full brightness with no issues. I would note, and you can see from the attached pictures, two things to be aware of. First, while these are flood bulbs and not spot bulbs, they do have a slightly narrower beam than the fluorescent bulb. Also, the light is slightly whiter than the fluorescent which you can see. (These are 3000K where as I recall a normal fluorescent is 2750K.) Again, neither of these things are a problem but something to be aware of. Since our kitchen has 6 such can lamps with 4 of them having fluorescent bulbs and now 2 LED bulbs, I can see us buying more of these LED units to switch entirely to LEDs. The slight brightness can be managed easily with the dimmer and the overall energy use will be better by making that switch! Read more

They were exactly what I needed to upgrade both my indoor and outdoor lighting. The 3000K warm white tone creates a cozy, inviting glow — bright enough for security and visibility, but still soft on the eyes. Installation was effortless thanks to the standard E26 base — just screw in and go. I immediately noticed how powerful the 1250 lumens output is, easily replacing my old 100W bulbs while using far less energy. The dimmable feature works smoothly with my existing dimmer switch, allowing me to adjust brightness depending on the setting. The frosted finish helps diffuse the light evenly without harsh glare, which I really appreciate for patio and entryway use. Plus, the wet-rated and UL-listed design gives peace of mind for outdoor exposure and safety. Overall, these bulbs deliver excellent brightness, energy efficiency, and durability. A fantastic lighting upgrade that I’d happily purchase again! 💡 Read more
