Size XL ordered for a 65lb German Shepherd mix. She sleeps both stretched out and curled. Fwiw, I'm 185lb at 5'6" and I can curl up in it with her should I choose too. Good size. I like it. My dog likes it and instantly took to it. My cats like it. Bonus: It didn't stink when unpackaged. The instructions state to let the memory foam padding set and expand for 24-48 hours. That is exactly what I did. By time I got around to sipping the memory foam bed into the cover 40 hours later when I remembered to do it, the memory foam mattress was firm. The outer 3 side raised edge make for nice pillows when Khalli girl stretches out and rests her head on them. Having gone through several dog beds, this one appears duriable (time will tell) and it is advertised as machine washable. When the memory foam breaks down, it will be easy to replace, cut to size and zip into the cover. The foam mattress is holding her weight well and not flattened under her weight. This is a great dog bed. We have multiple dogs that we rotate throughout the house so we gate our kitchen area that leads out to the backyard. Therefore, we needed a place for the dogs to lay down inside, but I didn't want to keep lugging around a heavy and bulky dog bed. This one is very nice and the cover washes up well. I can lay the bed down and then also stand it up nicely against the wall. The dogs love the padding and the bolstered sides. It's absolutely perfect. Excellent bed, seems to be quality materials and as described. We’ve had it for a couple of weeks now for our 55lb bulldog mix. We use it in his crate and he seems to be comfortable. Might be too small for some dogs of the same weight that are not so compact =) He peed a little one night and the cover held up great, keeping it from getting into the foam. Cover washed and dried easily and looks new again after washing. The cover is a taught fit so it take a little work getting it on and zipped up, but nothing crazy.
