This mat is perfect. It arrived in great shape -- not rolled. It does not have an odor. The studs hold the mat in place on my low-pile carpet. Most importantly, it does not indent. Mat arrived in a flat box which made it simple to unbox and use immediately. I found it to be hard enough to not leave indentations from the wheels but flexible enough to easily more around. Here is what I love: It came packaged flat and is very durable. Here is what I wish was different: I previously had a 36x48 that cracked. In hind sight I should have went with a larger size. 32 is not wide enough if you have a large desk chair. It fits but if you roll at all either direction it is prone to going off edge. I am sure this would work better if I had a standard office chair. I would suggest 40 inch as they do not sell a 36 if you have the larger chair. Read more

I purchased this item in March 2025 and it has not held up well. It’s on carpet and under a rolling office chair. It held up OK for about 6 months before showing wear under the area of greatest use. By 10 months significant wear and cracking were seen. I covered many cracked areas with alligator tape and needed to add more soon after. The mat shape is rectangular and not as helpful as one with the extension for under-the-desk area. The ad description is “heavy duty” — but it didn’t live up to this under my rolling chair area. On the less-used right side as expected, wear is considerably less. I am about 165 lbs. with a muscular build. I don’t think I have abused the mat but use it most on the left side that’s showing the greatest wear damage. It has protected the large carpet remnant underneath quite well. Although it has small tacks attached to hold it to carpet, I added a line of double-stick carpet tape around the edges to help hold it in place. This worked well. There’s no ”under-desk” effectiveness as it doesn’t extend under a desk, only in front of it…. unless the desk sits on it. i’d give a higher rating except for the “heavy duty” description that it doesn’t live up to. I’m going to need to replace it soon but won’t buy this product again. Read more
