I recently got my hands on the RK Royal Kludge Z98 Cute Creamy Keyboard, and it’s been quite an experience. This 94-key mechanical keyboard, with its playful design and robust features, has definitely added a touch of fun to my daily typing tasks. One of the first things I noticed was the unique layout. The Z98 has 94 keys, including a number pad, but it takes up much less space than traditional full-size keyboards. This compact design is great for freeing up desk space without sacrificing functionality. The keyboard’s creamy, toy-like appearance is charming, but don’t let that fool you—it’s built with quality materials that feel premium to the touch. The typing experience on this keyboard is absolutely enjoyable. The keys have a satisfying tactile feel, and the sound they make, while not the quietest, adds to the overall fun. I got this as I an a mechanical keyboard nerd and it seemed interesting. The build quality is all a not-so-great plastic and despite having all the foam in it sounds a bit hollow. The screen got stuck in the bluetooth switching mode and has so been stuck there despite resetting the keyboard. I might just end up giving up on this one. Save your money. 2/10....if you don't mess with the screen and like a cheap feeling wireless mechanical keyboard, this might be for you. Read more

First, this keyboard is extremely noisy, but it says this right up front. What I wish I would have looked at more were the keys. I haven't bought a keyboard in years, maybe a decade or two, and back then when you had a backlit keyboard, the keys lit up so you could type in the dark. Not this one, it just lights up around the front of key, but you can't tell which key it is in a dark room, so this keyboard has been relegated to my backup keyboard and I had to buy another one with lit up keys because I type in the dark a lot. This is my fault though, not the keyboards. The other thing is the clock display is never right, and I can't figure out where it gets it's time from as it is not consistent wrong, it's different times at the same time every day. I've searched google and watched youtube videos but can't find anywhere to set the clock. I've gone thought the button menus on the keyboard with no success. The media could not be loaded. The full sized layout is great for work, although it's not 100%, at least it has the ten key and arrow buttons. I noticed the case is a shiny plastic ombre blue color with chrome accents on the side. I'm not keen on how it feels but I do like the colorway used. Keycaps are PBT but they feel like ABS, as in they feel really good to the touch. It looks a bit glossy too and the profile doesn't look like the standard cherry profile. Super fun to type on and look at visually. I'm not technically challenged at all but I would find others who aren't as savvy to have some issues with the display screen. It seems that adjustments to the keyboard are done through the display for selecting the menu options. And you only have the up/down toggle switch for the selection button to do it. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it but takes some time to get used to. So just make sure you have the guide handy for anytime you need to customize the keyboard options. I find it useful to display the time as I don't have clocks on my room - only my PC. You can download the software online to further customize your keyboard in terms of lighting and the display. Put a personal picture, gifs or an audio visualizer - again the display is there as a novelty so it's fun and easy to program. It's satisfying to type on this keyboard because of the feedback when typing and the sound profile is wonderfully pleasing. It's not quiet so just be advise. Solid switches and stabs, actually above average for a pre-lube, pre-tuned keyboard. I may skip mods on this one as it is good to use out of box. With the three ways to connect and a hot swappable pcb, this is a fine pre-built keyboard I would recommend to my friends and family. It also isn't the first kzzi keyboard I have used.
