This is a review for the triple (2 FireWire 800 and a USB3). Been using this for over a year, everyday, and no problems. Goes in my backpack, back and forth to work, I’ve accidentally dropped it a few times, and it never lets me down. I bought three of these drives. One was defective. I applied for a refund with Lacie. An email response with instructions was promised but never sent. I contacted Lacie again but they refused to honor their 2 year warranty, stating "A batch of these drives were sold to a corporation" prior to me. I sent them the receipt and screen shots of the malfunction. I said "Brand new in the box thru Amazon" Amazon will evidently not honor returns after 30 days. unbelievable- Read more
The LaCie name has always meant quality to those of us in the industry. I love this drive. I use it all the time, even in place of my SATA Thunderbold drives because I can take it anywhere and also use it between my computers to transfer large video files. Would recommend this to anyone who needs speed and quality in the editing process. Read more
This works works great. I bought it because I needed to transfer large files between two different mac computers. Each computer had a different interface, the Old computer has firewire, and the new mac has USB 2.0/3.0. I needed a device like this because using the blockchain database runs faster using Firewire than USB 2.0 Read more
