I had to google it to understand the benefits of using an ionic dryer. I learned that it “emits negative ions to break down positively charged water molecules, drying hair faster, reducing frizz, and enhancing shine.” I have frizzy hair, so this dryer is great for me. There’s a lot more to like about this little hair dryer, like the following: 1. It’s small and very lightweight, making it perfect for travel. It’s also a great choice for younger users who might find a standard blow dryer a bit difficult to manipulate—and, it’s also perfect for elderly users who don’t have the arm strength they once had. 2. The dryer has three temperature settings, each with it’s own colored ring. When you set the dryer on high, a red ring encircles the back of the dryer, so you can see the temperature at glance. The warm setting had a yellow ring, while the cool setting has a blue one. 3. Pressing the temperature button twice activates the “child mode,” which lowers the temperatures for added safety and gentleness for delicate hair. A long press activates the temperature cycling mode, which automatically alternates between cold and hot airflows every two seconds to prevent concentrated heat and damage to your hair. This seems to have a purple ring color. 4. It has two speeds, low and high. For a small dryer, it has quite a bit of power. It’s not as strong as my full-sized blow dryer, but it still does the trick. 5. For more focused air, you can add a magnetic nozzle, which is so easy to attach securely and then detach. You can turn effortlessly to redirect the flow of air. I was delighted with great job it did drying my frizzy hair. While not really “cons,” there are just a couple things to note: 1. The instructions included in the very lovely box are extremely small—maybe even as small as 4 pts. I’m using a magnifying glass to read it, but I may just make a larger copy on my printer. 2. Air intake is through the handle of the dryer. It doesn’t take too long to get used to the slight suction if you’ve got your hand over the little holes. 3. It’s still a bit noisy—about as loud as my large blow dryer, but the sound is different. 4. This dryer requires some special care and maintenance to keep it performing optimally. You must conduct regular cleaning, including removing and cleaning the intake filter. All this is outlined in the instructions. 5. One thing I do miss is the cold shot button on my old dryer that instantly releases cold air to lock in the style. I think it’s more convenient than having to keep changing the temperature. This dryer is smaller than my regular one but it does not feel weak or cheap. It dries my hair faster than I expected and the airflow feels strong without being painfully hot. The magnetic nozzle clicks into place easily and does not wobble. It is lightweight enough that my arm does not get tired halfway through drying. I tried the lower noise setting and it is noticeably quieter than older dryers I have owned in the past+. The green color is subtle and different from the usual black appliances. It's a pretty cute color, It feels modern but still practical. Comes with one extra nozzle but would benefit if it had more attachment options out of the box. Read more

Wanted so badily to like this. Solid build quality and compact size. Fatal flaw just for me bc I am a man with short hair is there is only 2 speed settings and low and high are essentially the same speed. Hard to even notice a difference. The low speed needs to be lower as I had to hold it far from my head just to prevent it from blowing my hair too aggressively. Read more
