Very light and thin material. Install was easy and they work well. Looks good too. Not sure durability yet. One downside was the mounting plate. Most have a built in screw to stabilize it level. These did not so it only relies on friction to the house and any caulk to keep it upright. That seemed to be enough with how light these are but would rather have the sturdier mounting plate. These have been up for over a year now. No complaints. They straddle my garage door. Come on when movement detected (after dusk of course). Shuts off if no movement is detected for 30 seconds (I think this wait-interval is adjustable). My prior sconces had their circuitry fried......they would light-up in broad daylight. Read more

Pros: Looks nice. Lights, sensors work so far. Wiring it was ok. Cons: 1) Kind of a pain to install the hardware. The pre-installed bolts on the mounting brackets are too long (had to remove those and add shorter ones that were provided in the box). The bracket also like to move when the light is installed, with no way to keep it steady. The mounts rely on friction to the surface to keep from moving. The mounting brackets on the lights I replaced had 2 screws to keep the two pieces of the bracket steady. A gasket or some sort of spacer would help. The instructions do mention using clear silicone caulking around the mount. May have to jerry-rig those brackets later with zip-ties so they quit moving (I don't like doing that, but may have to). 2) The threads for a trim piece on the bottom of the light was drilled crooked. Sloppy craftsmanship. It's from china, so that's expected. 3) They have the ground lug on the swiveling part of the bracket. Would rather it on the half that screws into the conduit box, so it won't move as you install/wire the light. Update 4 months later — a knob for one of the sensors has become very touchy. Light wouldn’t come on unless I barely touch the knob with my finger. Then it works. These lights are not a fan of Midwest cold weather. Read more
