This case replaced my previous case of the exact same type and model. I tend to keep a phone that works for me for a while. The old case had the power button on the case break loose from the amount of usage I had put the phone through. New case fit perfectly, just like the previous one, but with an innovation. There was a special area for fingerprint recognition and usage, absent from the old case. It works perfectly, and I can now use all recognition features. Thank you, Lanhiem. As for protection, I had my phone fall off the back om car and launch across a parking lot once when I left in on the back window frame. A few scratches on the case, phone still perfect. I have dropped it face down, face up, and on different corners. My S23 still looks as if it was just removed from the original box. Mint condition. Phone case is waterproof and I have ordered it 4 or 5 different times for 2 different phones. They sound is muffled by the case but I open the bottom and it works fine. As that is said with continously open and closing of the case it will.start to Crack on the back but that's after much use. Id be buying this case again, it's definitely last and as much regard as I have for a phone by throwing it around on concrete to play ball or dropping it off my lap when getting out the truck it's everlasting. Supposed to be waterproof and dust proof but even after a perfectly clean installation there is dust under the screen that wasnt there before. You open it and clean the dust and close it back up and the next day theres more dust. The case is installed perfectly, its tightly closed all the way across, yet somehow dust still gets in. Its unexplainable. The good things about this case is that it does protect your phone from falls very well, and it will protect your screen from scratches, and it feels good to hold, but do not trust it to be waterproof or dustproof, which is of course what I bought it for. I had thos exact same style case for my Samsung S10, so naturally, I ordered the same one when I got my new S23. This one isn't as responsive as the old one. Maybe new materials are being used? I never could get the fingerprint ID to work and it was very hit-and-miss when using touch around the edges. I ended up getting a different case and screen protector. I'll keep this one to use if I'm going to be near water or anticipate a lot of dust or something, but not my go to for day to day anymore. Read more
