I was STOKED when this arrived. It was everything I hoped for in a backpack and I deliberated for MONTHS. I have never spent a QUARTER on a backpack of what I spent on this thing and it was supposed to be my MVP backpack for years to come, but it's already showing signs of wear I wasn't expecting based on my original perception of the quality. Overall it's still in great shape. I've used it mostly half-full for just 2-3 months now. The stitching of the inside liner where you tuck in pens and other random goodies into the outer pocket started unraveling after VERY light usage within 3 weeks of purchase. One other line of stitching down the outside of one of the straps is coming loose as well, about 3" has completely separated from the strap. The thing that makes this extremely disappointing is this bag is otherwise perfect. The zippers, zipper handles, straps, pockets and liners are otherwise all quite solid, nice to look at, and remarkable improvements upon any other backpack I've used. It's comfortable and thoughtfully designed, just not QUITE rugged enough to be that one DREAM product I was hoping for. [Update] Its been used heavily so far and is showing 0 additional signs of wear besides a nice patina starting. Behaving very much like the material it is, it has made it through half of winter getting rained on and enduring the humid/dehumidification cycle of the pacific northwest USA really well! Was searching for a leather backpack that looked a little more formal while also being more practical for grad school and walking around etc. This thing is exactly what I was looking for and I pulled the trigger on cyber Monday and got a decent discount. Appearance - Leather tint/color is almost identical to the pictures online so as advertised. The stain on the leather appears quality and not greasy or needing to cure at all before use. Quality - Seems to be well made, sturdy zippers, strong stitching and rivets where the heavy load points are. Function - I honestly couldn't think of a better arrangement of pockets, seems to work very well for my laptop and books and everything I need to carry. One side pocket is perfect size for a travel umbrella which came in handy recently as I was more worried about getting the bag rained on that myself. Travel strap is just the right height for attaching to my carry on when wheeling around the airport. All around this is basically perfect for what I was looking for, the company obviously did their research when the designed and made this one. Read more

Great product, most of it feels top quality. I love the color, the feel and sturdiness of the leather. My only complaint would be that the lines of the leather feel unfinished. Though it adds to (I’m assuming) purposeful design of the bag, I feel like it looks unfinished and I unfortunately notice it each time I grab it. I think this could also be a personal thing, because I’m a bit of a perfectionist and don’t always enjoy rustic looks. For the price, the unfinished vibe seems off. Read more

I LOVE this backpack! Very good quality leather and stitching. Smells like a western store (new leather). I travel for work every week and love carrying this backpack. Great size, a little heavy, but it’s thick leather, so that tracks. It has a place for everything, I can fit my laptop, iPad, notebooks, all my chargers and still have lots of room.
