This is a great product if you’re not allergic to lanolin. I say that because I’m not, but my son is. It says hypoallergenic, but if you are allergic to wool, you could also be allergic to lanolin. Please do a patch test if you’re unsure. Hypoallergenic means a product contains few ingredients know to cause an allergic reaction, but it doesn’t mean it won’t cause an allergic reaction. Those allergic to wool tend to be allergic to lanolin. I don’t purchase this for its intended use, but I have eczema and it keeps my inner elbows from being itchy while keeping it under control in my ears…yes, I am that small percentage of people who get it in their ears. I also use it on my lips and for slugging in winter when my skin is dry. Read more

It’s made of 100% lanolin, has no fragrance, and I never had to wipe it off before feeding, which is a huge convenience during frequent night feeds. The texture is thick but softens quickly when warmed between fingers. A very small amount goes a long way, so the tube lasts longer than expected. Within a day or two of consistent use, I noticed less pain and much faster healing. It works so well, I haven't had chapped lips all winter, including when visiting family in the desert. Love it so much that I got several tubes to put around the house and in my purse.
