I also tried it on a large log and was amazed at how fast it chopped through it with the right angle and using snap cuts with pinch grip. I was fatigued quickly when using a death grip but when I loosened it up and used pinch grip I was able to wack away and the vegetation with minimal effort and fatigue. Fantastic machete. I can't say how the sharpener has made touching up serrations easier. I go til 8 feel a burr on back side a touch up opposite side. Cardboard is very rough & abrasive on serrated knives BUT this handy sharpener restores the edge. I touch up when needed like few times a week. A must have since I've the Voyager (L & ExL) the Koban & now 2 Spartan folders. Some patience & practice at 1st BUT worth having to maintain blade. Like the old saying "A dull blade is more dangerous than a sharp blade." Ask me how I know from a few battle scars over many years. Can't go wrong with this Sharpener. Read more
