I had to return this item and switch to a different solution because unfortunately this one just doesn't work well with my articulated monitor arm. However, this is a very well-made product and I would absolutely recommend it if you're going to mount it to a pole-type monitor mount with a rod arm. Unlike many of the VESA laptop solutions out there, this tray bolts to all four corners of the VESA plate and positions the laptop directly on it rather than hanging off the front of it, making it a very secure and stable connection. Unfortunately for my needs, the design resulted in the back of the tray contacting my articulated arm unless I tilted my laptop forward nearly vertically. At which point I worried about the laptop sliding off the front if I accidentally bumped it or my desk, not to mention greatly reducing usable desktop space underneath. With the tray and laptop tilted back to a more normal angle for a laptop, it restricted the movement of my monitor arm too much, as the back of the tray hangs well over the top of the VESA mounting plate and running into the arm. I do think that this design is great for ideal weight distribution but it just didn't work well for me given the positioning restrictions. I also tried using standoffs between the laptop tray and VESA plate, which helped a little but not enough. Again, though, if you're using a pole mount, or possibly even just a different articulated arm than the one I have (I have the ErGear Single Monitor Arm, which has a pretty beefy front section), this might just be the perfect design and product for your own needs. Sturdy, fits well. I can put my 15” Dell Inspiron on there no problem. The lips on the bottom that hold the laptop on are thick, though the Inspiron is probably the upper limit for those. It’s a thicc machine though, so the mount will hold thinner laptops no problem. Good value for the money. Read more

I love this thing. I've been using it to hold my X-Pen 15.6 pro tablet for like 4-5years now I think. Worth the money for me since the arm i had bought didn't come with a holder made for my tablet.
