I’ve never written a review, but I had to write one for this product because I love it so much. This is the perfect pumping bra if you hate the weird cut outs of standard pumping bras. I could not tolerate the weird cut outs when I was already sensitive and this has been a game changer. Very comfortable and Works great with my Spectra. Perfect for wearing around the house, for sleep, or under clothes if you’re just going to be around family or close friends. If you are wearing a thin top or going to be in a professional environment, it would be a great fit. Like these so much more than my Kindred Bravely and Mom cozy bras. Note the following limitations on the interest of setting appropriate expectations and writing an honest review: - This is not a very supportive bra- there is no band at the bottom, so if you need/want lots of support, this is not a good fit for you. The level of support is more akin to a low impact sports bra. For reference, I was a 36C prior to pregnancy and this is enough support for me around the house and when I am running errands (walking around). - This is not ideal for wearables - I have a spectra S1 and a Eufy S1 wearable. This bra works great for the spectra and only ok for the Eufy. If it is fresh out of the wash, it is tight enough to hold the wearable on if I am just sitting still, but if I am moving around or trying to care for baby, I have to support the wearable/hold them on. - Cost is a bit limiting. I do own 3 of these because they work so well for me (initially purchased one then came back and purchased 2 more). I would love to own a couple more so I don’t have to do laundry as often, but I will admit the cost is a bit prohibitive. Read more
Context: (recommended by a lactation consultant and various folks on Readit) I ordered the L and the XL in navy blue. Pre-lactation - I was an American 36G to 38DDD. 36 band tends to fit better for support. I was hoping for at least a sleep bra with pumping ability as my Kindred Bravely ones (which are admittedly too small in the cup) seem to lead to duct issues if I go longer than 2-3 hours. I use Spectra flanges. Pros: silky soft material; wide comfortable straps. The L felt supportive enough for sleep/lounging. Challenges: The X-cross design seems to presume center set, higher placed nipples (think Barbie). (I also had the same impression/issue with the KB sleep bra.) On one side it made the flange dig into the top of the breast. On the other, I struggled to even get the fabric to pull far enough to center the flange (low, outer set nipple). As mentioned above, the L seemed at least supportive enough for sleep. However, I couldn't pull the fabric far enough (without worrying about ripping seams) to even try to set the flanges. The XL allowed me to try out the X style flange placement, but given the lack of band and looser cut, I felt like I was going to fall out the bottom. Conclusion: I will be returning both sizes. The L could work as a sleep shelf bra if you don't need the pumping functionality, but there are less expensive options if you're looking for a light support tank to sleep in. Read more
I have to exclusively pump due to my daughter’s medical needs, and I want to continue to pump for her first year. I own several pumping bras because the key to success in pumping is making it more convenient and more adaptable to real life. Easier said than done, and this is the first pumping bra that I would claim is actually comfortable and works as advertised. My other pumping bras contain two thick layers, multiple clips, and a bulkiness that makes me want to take them off as soon as possible. This bra offers enough support that I can go out in public but not risk clogged ducts from the compression. The best feature is that the bra actually holds the flanges in place- something my other pumping bras do not do consistently. The only negative is that the fabric is thin. If I’m wearing a top that I’d prefer some padding with, I simply add in my reusable leak pads or have even added the removable padding from another bra.
