Our community has 3 gyms & only 1 has a bar like this , well not anymore . I bought this for the gym I use . I might have been better served to purchase the 1 with the knurled grips vs the rubber . Don't get me wrong , this is fine especially if used with somewhat dry vs sweaty hands . I bought it for the pulldown aspect of tricep extensions on a rack system . It works well for doing curls on the same system though the bar spacing for curls could stand to be wider . When used as a lat pulldown bar it is challenging because the bar will attempt to spin in your hands . So on that note wearing non slip gloves would be ideal .
