I only owned 1 yoga mat before this, and then there's the mat I used at the gym. The one I owned was very slippery, especially when sweaty. The rubber one at the gym is good. Not too slippery until I get sweaty. This mat may be slightly slippery at first, but not enough to throw me off in my workouts. And once I start sweating, it's not slippery at all really. You can smell the cork and rubber, but only a little, and only when your face is in the mat. It's very comfortable. It's the perfect thickness, imo. I like the markings on it. They help me keep my stances consistent and to track my progress. It may be a little heavy for some people, but that doesn't bother me. As for the cork surface getting wear and tear, I've used this mat for about 8 45 minute sessions now, and it's not showing any signs of wear. Also, the ink markings are not rubbing off. As long as the cork surface continues to hold out for a decent amount of use, I'll likely buy this very mat again when I need a new one. Read more
I am so impressed with these yoga mats! The quality is incredible – thick enough to feel cushioned and supportive, but not too heavy to carry around. The grip is amazing, which makes such a difference during flows and hot yoga sessions. I also love the designs – they’re modern, calming, and make me actually excited to roll out my mat. I got this yoga mat for my wife she says this is a beautiful yoga mat. I very much like cork yoga mats and this is my third. It was packaged nicely. It is good quality, well made and should last a while. It came with no imperfections. The alignment markings are well placed and can help beginners and seasoned yogis find that correct posture positions. It has a cork top and a rubber bottom. It is a medium thickness and I would say it's just right for me. The rubber does add weight I wasn't expecting to the mat overall. It also has a rubber odor which I'm hoping fades with time. The cork top has a good grip to it and my first use I didn't slide at all. The cork ball is a great extra and is a great size. The carrying strap can double as a short yoga strap also. Overall, I am very impressed with the look, presentation, and function of this yoga mat. I also love their name and phrases they use on the mat and products. Well done Laude. Read more

This is the best mat I have ever used in my 25 years of yoga practice. It is a bit thicker and gives my knees more cushion. The lines and markings allow me to line up more correctly. I have had problems with slipping doing warm/hot yoga with other mats but this actually gives better grip with moisture. The mat appears very durable and lays flat as soon as you unroll it bc it has some weight to it. However, it is VERY SLIPPERY. I don’t understand how it is being advertised as nonslip or how anyone reviewed that it has a good grip. I have been doing yoga and mat Pilates for 15 years, and I have never had a problem with my hands and feet slipping on a mat at all. Unfortunately, the slipping renders the mat pretty much unusable even with grip socks bc my hands still slip. This also did not come with a ball or a strap as advertised. I feel scammed. Read more

This cork yoga mat is well made and very comfortable to use. It's holding up so far very well after two weeks of use. I'm am absolute beginner yoga practitioner, trying to improve my flexibility before every lifting session. There's a very small amount of cork degrading on one corner. I'll continue to keep an eye on it and will update this review if it gets worse! It rolls up easy and the carry strap is a nice touch!
