I like this better than my Chuck-It. Other reviewers say this feels cheap, partly because they feel some flex in it. In my opinion, it doesn't feel cheap. It does have a bit of flex and that's to help you throw farther. For example, golf clubs for seniors have more flex in them, so they can drive the ball farther with less strength. I believe physics would back this up (torque or something, don't quote me on that). This will work for both weak and strong people. I am quite weak; I am in heart failure so I'm not supposed to exert myself too much, but this Launch-It lets me throw far even without a lot of force. On the other end of the spectrum, my partner is quite strong (M32, 6'4", played football) and he likes this more than our Chuck-It, which doesn't have much bend to it. I'm happy with the length and the shape/flexibility of the ball holder. It doesn't hold the ball too tight or too loose, and it fits both regular tennis balls and the balls it comes with. I think they're the same size, but the included balls are squishier so you can get them in the handle holder. Regular tennis balls will stay in it, but you can only force it in like 1/3 of the way cause they don't give, but that's not an important feature to me. My lab loves the squeaky balls. We play fetch every day and they seem to be holding up well over the last 2 weeks. She's not a chewer, but she does compress them a lot to make them squeak. Read more

This is Fabulously Wonderful!! My dog loves, balls, squeaky toys, and playing fetch. This combines all her favorites and we have spent countless hours playing. Added bonus of being able to use regular tennis balls, which most dog families have on hand. HIGHLY Recommend Read more

We have a LARGE dog who really needs to burn energy off, but I can't throw like I use to so this was the perfect way to get some fun play in. He gets to run and my arm doesn't hurt. We have more fun together!! If your dog loves to chase a ball this is a great toy!! (The balls even squeak!) Read more

I can throw about ten, twenty feet without the aid of a ball launcher. When I just throw a ball myself, my dogs look at me like "WTF is this?!" So I've used a chuck-it for many years. However my dogs are not the greatest at returning the ball, so I really love this concept that you can keep an extra ball in the launcher! The balls that come with this are not the greatest, but whatever, I have 10000 tennis balls around my house anyhow. But where this fails for me is the wobbly-ness of the launcher. It's hard to throw and half the time it goes in a completely different direction. Read more

This launcher is shorter then most similar launchers, so it will not have as long of a range. But it also requires less effort to use. My dog get very excited around balls and has already broken 3 launchers, but this one has outlasted all of them even with the same level of abuse. Read more
