I've only washed this Linen Sheet Set once (so far) but I am VERY pleased with it. It is so soft and I no longer get too hot in my bed. But I am warm and comfortable and sleep deeply. I will be careful to wash this set only in cold or lightly warm water and with Borax (or other soap recommended) for Flax Linen. I'm SO GLAD I FINALLY SPLURGED and bought this Linen set...definitely sleeping better. I also bought a 100% virgin wool blanket ( from Amazon) and a 100% cotton blanket (also from Amazon). I waited a long time for these but can honestly say that there is no comparison between this bedding and the old bamboo and acrylic popular bedding. I will never go back. Because my bedspread is not made out of these Biblically sound fabrics, I gently fold that back before getting into bed. My new bedding is one of the best gifts I have ever given myself. I layer my 100% virgin wool blanket between my Linen sheet and my 100% cotton blanket (on top) to keep my wool blanket clean as it is only dry cleanable and I am only planning on once a year dry cleaning. This set up is working great. I took advantage of the good sales offers and feel it was well worth the money sacrifice. I have never been more comfortable or slept better. I have been researching, purchasing and returning sheets for over a year. But the search stops here.!! While opinions are as varied as the fish species in the oceans, my humble opinion is these particular sheets have passed the test as an excellent choice. -The linen is a nice weave that does not feel like scratchy sand paper. The trick is to wash them when the arrive. Dry them on low. Once done, wash and dry again. Then, successively from there, they will continue to soften with each wash/dry cycle. Be sure to clean the lint trap every time a linen sheds. -I prefer the natural "linen" color ones since there won't be the risk of color dyes (in my opinion). -I can't wait to crawl into bed and I struggle to get out in the morning because these are so comforting. In the summer I do not sweat, yet in the winter, I still feel warm. Note: I did purchase a linen blanket for the colder Midwest winters. You'll be amazed. The only caution is never combine pure linen with wool. This has a negative affect on frequency and zeros out the healing properties of linen. You can find more about this in a search as well. This dates all the way back to biblical times so it's not a new concept. Deuteronomy 22:11 “You must not wear clothing made of wool and linen woven together." -The deep pockets on these sheets is nice. They even error on the side of being a little bigger but I much rather have this than having sheets pop off all the time. -One last thing: I did order a throw blanket for winter nights when I am snuggling up from the snow and cold. This particular blanket I LOVE! It's a tighter weave and I'd love this for the bed but it only comes in a few sizes that are not conducive for a bed size. It's more of a throw but it is fabulous. I feel so strongly about this that when I had a family member who had to be hospitalized, I brought linen sheets for the hospital. I did use colored sheets just so the staff would not "mix up" my expensive sheets with their generic once. My order shipped and arrived quickly. Postman delivered and set the box on my front porch. The box is clearly marked with the manufacturer's labels and markings with big letters "sheets". I felt lucky that it was still on my porch when I got home. I will be more careful about requesting Amazon to put it in one of their boxes if that is an option. The sheets were neatly packaged, wrapped, and tied with a bow, nice out of the box and I was anxious to give them a try but I was going to wash them, as recommended, before putting them on the bed. Just before I put them in the washer, I happened to notice that they sent two flat sheets instead of a flat sheet and a fitted sheet as the item had been described. The material is described as 100% linen. I was searching for 100% "flax" linen and, carelessly, believed that was what I purchased, however, looking further into the description (after the purchase was made) it appears that the material is a cotton linen and not the flax linen I thought I was buying. Also, nowhere in the description did I find a country of origin/manufacture. The sheets are labeled "Made in China." I returned the set the same day and Amazon quickly refunded my purchase. I didn't reorder from this manufacture because of the error in packaging and, what I consider, to be deceptive advertising.
