The media could not be loaded. The packaging (not the shipping box) is sealed on one end only. The other end has no seal or no indication of a broken seal. Upon opening the package, the tablet was not in its protective sleeve. It had some pieces of dirt on the front in the crevices near the edge. There was also a piece of what looks like plastic strand left over from manufacturing. My guess is: since it was not in the protective sleeve, some dirt sneaked in while in storage or in transport. The table looks like it's been opened before. The screen looked pristine though. The screen's surface (top layer) does not sit flush against the layers beneath it toward the mid lower part of the screen. See video. Notice the change in reflection as I press against the screen. It is flush in other parts. The Stylus is a piece of plastic. The writing is pressure-based: no fancy mechanisms. That's good. I can write with the tip of my fingernails. You can use any stylus as long as it doesn't scratch the surface. The writing feels natural. The stylus feels natural in the hand. The minimum pressure needed to write feels natural. Increasing pressure produces a bit thicker lines. We use it as a note scratch pad (reminders, lists, etc.) Our kids are also able to use it for learning as a method that replaces paper and pencil. The dimensions is generous, making it very practical. It is very light. That's a plus. The contrast of the writing against the matte black screen feels a bit low. It works best in good lighting. I've attached a thin 2-inch magnet bar on the back using double-sided foam tape (~ 2mm thick.) The tablet now lives on the door of the fridge. Overall, practical and useful. Deducted one star for the initial condition, which I hope is just my copy. Deducted another star for what looks like a manufacturing process that still needs some work. Read more

The pen is not attached. My daughter lost it on day 1.. it’s the only thing you’re supposed to use to write on the tablet, so basically we’re done with this product. Not well thought out as something that’s primarily utilized by kids. Read more

I received this 16 inch LCD kids writing tablet as part of the Amazon Vine program and it works exactly like all the other writing tablets out there. It does what it is supposed to do with no surprises. It has a lock feature so you do not accidentally erase drawings or notes, which is a nice touch and works as expected. The screen clears cleanly and the tablet functions just like it should. My only real complaint is that because of the larger 16 inch size, it does feel a bit flimsy compared to smaller versions. That said, it actually survived getting stepped on by my German Shepherd, which honestly surprised me. Overall, the kids love it and it has been a big hit in our house despite feeling a little less rigid than smaller tablets. Read more
