Nice, sturdy-looking table. (Plenty sturdy for drawing. Was nervous about it being strong enough to support a lightweight kiddo who might try to sit on it . . though that was apparently tested successfully. <phew!> Wouldn’t recommend for that to happen a lot, though we were pleasantly pleased.) The toy is extremely native to use, so doesn’t seem to require any real instructions, yet there is a bonus, easy-to-follow, 3-step process printed onto the edge of the box to share its operation: Turn on, draw, erase. Can draw with the attached plastic pencil, or with fingernails, or really with anything that is not sharp and can be safely and smoothly dragged against the drawing surface without risking scratching or staining it. The drawing surface even responds to creative fingers that are wrapped inside of warm winter gloves. Versatile. The included legs are nicely-designed and fit very well to support the drawing surface as a stand. The assembled drawing creativity center looks quite stylish, like a personal table; perfectly toddler-sized. One favorite part is that the drawing pencil is connected with the drawing tablet by a cord, so it won’t get lost or “walk away, never to be seen again”. The pencil then stores (snaps in) underneath, quite conveniently. Kiddos started drawing on it right away. Once finished with a creation, there’s a prominent “erase” button (indicated by a trash can icon) that can be pressed to quickly and easily erase the drawing field. …There’s a small and easy for fingers to operate selection switch underneath the edge of the drawing pad that enables or disables the “erase” button’s ability to clear out what’s been drawn. (With the switch disabling the erase button, the erase / trash can button has no effect on the current image and it’s still possible for the kiddos to continue drawing on the display.) That’s a really neat feature, for protecting a current ‘masterpiece’ drawing (from erasure), until it’s comfortably time to erase it. One wish/preference would be for the switch that activates/deactivates the ‘erase’ (trash can) button to be more-clearly labeled, to make it more obvious which way the switch should be switched to protect the contents of the drawing field. It is labeled (and easy to figure out by trial-and-error, of course), though almost invisibly, so we may add a label or a tactile dot alongside of it to make its current setting (“erase feature on/off”) more easily distinguishable. Quick note: There’s a user-replaceable CR-2032 battery that is easy to access, in the event it one day needs to be replaced. .:. This ‘table-integrated’ drawing pad is quite a nice spin on this type of creativity toy. And the coloring and design and supporting legs give it an appealing appearance. Well-designed, well-constructed, very nice materials, it works great!, and is engaging for kiddos who like to draw, erase, and then draw some more. The corded drawing pencil is a favorite feature for us (making less to have to ‘keep track of and mind’, as toy accessories go). A light yet sturdy writing station for young growing minds. It is small enough for children to practice scribbles or just plain out hand writing skills. Hand eye coordination is essential for a child's growth and this will definitely assist in helping with it. It is a no mess option. The pen and pad are both very responsive. The screen is moderately bright in normal lighting conditions. It does not have enough nits to use outside. There no zero sharp edges so you won't worry about and scrapes or cuts. This is a nice LCD writing/drawing tablet for younger kids. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and my kids immediately took to it. The overall tablet measures 11.75” W × 8.75” H × 1” thick and weighs about 7 oz. The actual drawing area is roughly 8.5” × 5.75”, which is large enough for kids to draw comfortably without the tablet being bulky. It’s light but feels sturdily made. The included stylus is 4.5” long, attached with a cord so it won’t get lost, and it snaps neatly into a storage slot underneath the tablet. You can also draw using a fingernail or any other non-scratching object. The screen is responsive — it registers a light touch, and pressing harder produces a thicker line. One clever feature is the removable snap-on legs, which raise the tablet about 4.75”. My 4-year-old liked using it on the floor with the legs attached like a little easel, while my 8-year-old preferred using it flat on her lap without them. The legs snap on and off easily (even the kids can do it themselves) but stay secure when attached. The screen produces bright multicolor lines and clears instantly with the erase button, with no noticeable ghosting left behind. The erase button requires a deliberate press — even my 4-year-old can use it easily, but none of the kids have accidentally brushed it and erased their drawings. There’s also a lock switch to prevent erasing if they want to save a drawing. The screen works well under normal indoor lighting and has a slightly diffused reflection, so any reflections appear soft and blurry rather than distracting from the drawing. After using the included stylus for a while, the screen shows no signs of scratching, although I suspect a sharp object could scratch it. It runs on a CR2032 coin battery, which is accessible via a small screw-secured compartment. Both of my daughters ended up loving this. They spent hours drawing and repeatedly interrupting my workday to show me their “masterpieces.” It’s also great for long car rides or long dance competition weekends, since there’s no screen, apps, or battery drain to worry about — the tablet only uses power when clearing the screen, so the battery should last for months.
