This duffel bag is truly impressive, offering a combination of premium, high-quality materials and exceptional workmanship that fully justifies the "full-grain leather" designation. Upon carefully unwrapping the bag, I was immediately met with the wonderful aroma of quality leather—specifically the thick, durable tanned hide of domestic buffalo, the same type often used in heavy-duty English saddles. This leather feels very sturdy, yet has a pleasant, handled feel, contributing to the bag's overall appeal and functionality. The exterior is a rich, medium brown color that is very appealing. While this top-grain leather is naturally prone to scratches and marks, this only serves to give the bag a desirable distressed look and enhances its vintage aesthetic over time. Users who prefer a pristine surface may want to condition it regularly to keep it soft and protected, and to minimize scuffing. The hardware and construction are equally superb. All of the antique brass hardware arrived covered and protected, including the metal feet on the bottom, which thoughtfully prevent the leather base from soiling. The two top handles are crafted from rolled leather and riveted for added strength. The heavy YKK metal zippers glide effortlessly and feature generous 3-inch leather pulls, plus a helpful finger hook to stabilize the top of the bag while zipping. The functionality of the storage is excellent and well-organized. There is a large zippered compartment at each end that easily accommodated shoes and toiletries, plus a zippered pocket on the back and a large pouch with buckle on the front. The interior is neatly cloth-lined, featuring three sewn pockets and a large zippered pocket on the opposite wall, though I did note the zipper on the interior pocket briefly separated before reconnecting after gently sliding it back and forth. Overall, this is a beautiful bag with ample room for quite a few outfits. Due to the dimensional variability once packed, I recommend checking with your airline beforehand if you intend to use the full 24 inches as a carry-on cabin bag. Read more

The leather that makes this duffel is the tough thick kind, which means it will last absolutely forever and only get better and softer with age. The zippers are very durable, which makes them hard to zip and unzip, which I think is a great thing when you're traveling - no easy thievery here! I love the camel color as well. The space is amazing - it's a taller, thinner bag so you can shove a ton of stuff in there without damage. I would recommend! Read more

The bag is actually quite lovely though the leather is quite stiff. It’s a good size, and has a shoulder strap that’s quite handy to carry it around. The stitching is solid and it’s well constructed. The most disappointing thing about it was how it was packaged. It was wrapped in plastic and tape, and I had to be careful in opening it be able to cut through the tape but not cut the bag.
