I did extensive research on many bags from many brands. Every time I found a bag that interested me something was not right be it the size or color. This bag is absolutely perfect for me. I was afraid I would have to return it purely on it not having a main zipper that seals the main compartment but to my relieve it does. It fits my 13 MacBook Pro that has a thick eco case on it. There’s room for a good two or three note books. The leather is really thick that equates to many years of use and the stitching is so nicely detailed. Honestly this bad with by the big brands would coast hundreds of dollars easily 400 plus. I am absolutely happy with my purchase, I love it so much I plan on purchasing another color before I can’t find it. It’s a perfect compact bag be advised this is not a travel bag it’s perfect for school or the office if all you bring is a laptop and some papers. The size, color, description and quality are as described. I tested all of the zippers, compartments and the strap. The leather looks and feels like quality. The zippers moved smoothly and look durable. The strap is leather with matching fabric backing. Unlike another reviewer who couldn't shorten the strap as much as they wanted, I was able to shorten the strap and pass the leather shoulder pad past the adjustment buckle with no problem as you can see in photo #2. I'm 5'3" so this important to me. I shortened it enough to easily open the flap and access contents without removing it from my shoulder. The inside is large enough for my Mac Pro 14, some books, charger, cable and pen. The magnets on the flap are strong. The zippered compartments and flap combine function and privacy of contents. Time and use will prove the quality of materials and craftsmanship. My only complaint and the reason for deducting a star is that the laptop compartment is padded only on one side, the inner facing side. I'm careful with my belongings so I don't think this will be an issue but if someone plunked their heavy backpack or tote next to it and impacted it, this could be an issue. I think this is a great value. It replaces a vintage leather soft sided briefcase and I actually like the looks of this one better. It looks like a much more expensive messenger bag. It's sleek, functional and stylish. The inside cellphone pocket is large enough for a Galaxy Note cell phone which is not easily done. The ease of use and looks have won me over. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and am adding it to my list of future gifts to others. Read more

I think this is good quality but I am not a expert at leather so perhaps others have a better understanding of the product. I did get their dark brown one also in addition to this one and felt this one had a better look to it so I kept it. My only concern (which I wont remove a star for) was the bottom of the bag has some leather that looks like it has some surface quality issues. I was advised to condition the leather which I did and while it still looks a bit rough in those areas the patina from the conditioner made me like the bag even more so I will just ignore the bottom and hope it holds up! I like the heft to the bag though for some that might be a negative, it really feels sturdy. Read more
