Highs: Excellent construction, quality hardware, sturdy leather with the pleasant smell one expects from such a bag. Lots of usable space, thoughtfully organized. Stitching meticulous throughout. Quality is excellent for a bag at this price point. One significant complaint: The distressed leather look was overdone on my bag, with its dark brown base covered with distressed areas at very light/white/yellow tones. That contrast looked contrived and unnatural. I used brown shoe polish to achieve a more natural look, similar to the bags shown in the Amazon product photos. I would recommend high quality shoe/boot/leather polish to tame the high-contrast coloration distress found on samples like mine. Good polishing, coupled with the good construction of these bags, can yield a piece comparable to some found at far higher prices. Read more

I had been searching for a new bag for months on Amazon, Wilson Leather, and several other manufacturers/outlets and hadn’t found what I wanted. One day Amazon sent an email with suggestions and here it was! Not sure why it didn’t come up before in many searches on Amazon. I am a Real Estate Agent, this bag has all the right spaces I need. It is well put together, quality materials and looks great. I have had nothing but compliments from my associates. I would recommend this bag. Here’s what needs improving: 1) laptop space needs something soft in the bottom, when I put my laptop in, it bottoms out with a clunk. The tolerance is so tight there isn’t room to put something soft in there. 2) The tolerance for the laptop opening is very tight and my laptop scratches across the zipper. The shoulder strap needs to be more secure when I set it at a position I want. This strap tends to slide and NOT stay in the position I want. 3) needs a cup holder/ pouch on outside of bag. I ordered this with apprehension that it would not be a quality brief case. However, when it arrived, I was more than surprised. The case is made of shock quality leather. The stitching is very good. The hardware, buckles & shoulder strap clips, are all very high quality. I use this bag daily and travel internationally with it and have many people ask about it. I've used this bag almost every day for 4 years. It carries a lot and has plenty of pockets for organization. I still get the occasional compliment for the bag now that it's a bit more worn in. I don't think you get a better bag for the price. Read more

I rarely leave reviews – but I feel compelled to warn others about this bag and hopefully prompt the seller to make things right. This has been, without question, the heaviest bag I’ve ever owned. It’s uncomfortable to carry even when it’s empty – which defeats the whole purpose of a daily-use item. The leather – which I expected to age gracefully – has instead started cracking and discoloring in a way that looks cheap and worn out. I even invested in the recommended leather milk cleaner they promote – but it made no difference. The quality just isn’t there. Two major design flaws made this even worse – the outer pockets are essentially useless. Any time I put something in them, it falls out while walking. It’s incredibly frustrating and has led to lost items. And the worst part? The zipper is so sharp it actually cut my hand and scratched my fingers on multiple occasions. I’ve never experienced anything like this with any other bag – this is a serious safety issue. I bought this bag thinking it was a long-term investment – but it’s turned out to be one of the most disappointing purchases I’ve ever made. At this price point, these issues are simply unacceptable.
