Nice and bright and easy install, but direct wire kinda dicey. It comes w/ both plugin thick long cord w/ thumb switch and direct wire (not very long). We bought b/c direct wire option and its kind of odd it has traditional black(hot) and white(neutral) but also a yellow wire. No as in -big fat 0- instructs on wiring come w/ the product so no idea what to do w/ yellow so just connected the hot and neutral but then yellow was hot and not connected so tied yellow and black together and that caused metal base to be hot/shock, ouch. Then tied yellow to neutral and all good, -i think ;). As others have said the base is quite hot, as in if you touch it and hold for more than 30s/min it would probably burn(slight).
