Shop Space Essential!
Unlike some, I actually USE my 8' ceiling 1500sq. ft. basement for several different shops, woodworking, leather craft, pottery, jewelry, etc., with LOTS of open shelves. I was struggling with pull chain lights for years until I found these. They are THE lighting solution for anyone seeking bright consistent illumination. Though some have had installation issues, my guess is they may not be "screwdriver savvy." My open joists made it easy to screw in the clips & "U-clamp" mounting hardware from a sturdy 6' ladder. These lights are scary lightweight. The power cords fit in any socket BUT, I purchased some extra cords AND female adapters to arrange things easily. I also bought some light socket-to-outlet screw-in adapters so I could use the existing pull chains as a switch. The 4' lengths put the toggle switch in the middle which leaves them high up & inconvenient to reach. The 2' cords are plenty long if you place these in a linear pattern (I went 3 fixtures to a row though, the instructions say 4 lights can be linked together). I can't speak to the longevity yet but, these LEDs are a long awaited & simple install I should have put in years ago. If any fade out I still have 2 left! Bright with a wide dispersal on either side giving great illumination for even the smallest detailed work at bench & desk height. If you need lighting these won't disappoint. Read more
