Another great Lego set for the builder girl. My daughter loves Disney and Legos, so this was an obvious god gift for her. She thinks it looks cute and was very easy to assemble. From my point of view, its a good size set for her and she had a lot of fun building and playing with this set (in addition to her other sets). So, overall, its a really good value for the money. My daughter got this Lego kit for Christmas. She loves both Legos and Palace Pets, so this was a perfect present! She has one of the smaller Palace Pets Lego kits that she completed after her birthday and she was eager to do more. She was especially excited about the mini Beauty and Windflower that come with this palace. As with all Lego sets, this one is adorable, awesome and fun! My daughter is 6 and she was able to complete this one 99% on her own. Two or three times she asked me to help her snap a piece into place, but otherwise it was all her. She was able to follow the directions and all of the steps. She even completed it in one sitting. It took about an hour. I love that Lego has partnered with Disney and so many other childhood characters. It makes them even more appealing. And Legos are soooo great for learning to follow instructions, building, etc. Our Lego sets definitely get played with. They don't sit on a shelf or in a box! I'd say anyone younger than 5 or 6 would need quite a bit of help with this, but it would be a fun parent/child activity for that age group. I highly recommend this kit! And as a bonus, it seems to be less expensive than a lot of more popular Legos! Read more

my husband would say I'm a kid at heart and this set really speaks to that kid! It is a beautiful set with lots of specialized pieces (think crystal hearts, carrots, ice cream, tiny crowns, a telescope and cherries for a cake!) and two really adorable pets. Oh yeah, I bought it for my almost 4 year old daughter and she loves it too ;o). Pretty easy to put together- my daughter found all the pieces as directed and besides my needing to press the pieces together to tighten and to stick some of the stickers on, she was able to build it mostly herself. It was a great way to spend a night. However, a couple of things annoyed me- why the stickers?? For as much as we pay for as small as this is, how about just printing the images on the pieces without using stickers? And the other thing is that this is a very expensive set for what you get. Really tiny! Be forewarned. And finally, if you buy one, you will have to buy the others. I admit- I'm charmed by this so I will definitely be buying the others. For my daughter. Um..haha Read more

This a wonderful set based on the Disney Palace Pets and is great for play because of the different rooms each with its own role. Along with the palace, there is a separate observation platform. For the price you are getting a lot of specialized pieces including ones for great re-use in building castles, towers, and houses. It also comes with two pets and a number of fun items and accessories. It is a great starting set for all of the Lego Palace Pet sets. Rooms: Music Room, Dining Room, Bathroom, Bedroom, Balcony, Runway and Stage. Separate Observation platform. Lego Princess Palace Pets Royal Castle is fun to build. This castle is a 2-story building with a patio, music room, dinning room, revolving dance floor, bath area and bedroom. It come with two pets, one blue and on pink. Totally 186 pieces. Very detail oriented, comes with the comb, carrots, cherry, music notes, heart crystal and stickers. I love kids playing Lego because it promotes motor skills, following instructions (at least the first time), and creativity (build whatever they like using the pieces). This set is especially fun for someone who loves tiny animal figures. Not a hard set to build. My 6 years old was able to complete the set in less than an hour, but has more hours of fun playing the set. Read more

This was a Christmas gift for my little sister who is 6. She loved it! Being a kid who has everything, LEGO always has something new coming out that she couldn't possibly have yet that I can buy her. This little set was perfect. It's a small two story castle with 2 animals. It is 186 pieces total. If you have a child who likes to put things in their mouth, I wouldn't recommend because some of the pieces are fairly little. It also includes stickers so they can customize their castle however they like. Easy to build for beginners! Read more

Bought this for my 3 year old because they didn't have the Palace Pets available in duplo size. I did most of the building but my daughter really enjoys the little pets that come with it and all the different accessories - cherry cake, telescope, microphone, jewels, carrot, flowers, etc. The palace is not huge, but for the price it is a great set and perfect for little hands to play, pretend, and explore. I've never seen my 6-year-old pay strict attention for as long as she did in order to put this together. She's played with Legos before but this was the first real kit she's ever seen. Loves it. It was simply a wondrous experience to be nearby and answer questions as she went about assembling the castle. She put it together, left it for a day, then took it apart and rebuilt it to be sure she knew how. Think I have a budding engineer on my hands. Read more
