A long review of Lelo Mona 2 that you will probably not read entirely
I have had this since January 2014. It is currently June 2017. This thing is my best friend. It charges fast (and you can charge it while using it if it dies mid-session), is waterproof, and is DURABLE. I do not use this internally as a g-spot vibe. I usually do not include insertion of objects when masturbating. If you have a dildo in at the same time, it might not work for you based on your anatomy. I use this 99.9% of the time externally, usually over my underwear because I think the fabric disperses the vibration throughout the area that the fabric touches. I keep my comforter over me and it mutes the sound pretty well, but not perfectly. It is not as noisy as vibrators that you get for $10-40. I am super paranoid so I probably think it's a lot louder than it is. I live with my family and the walls are pretty thin, but I've left it sitting on the bed vibrating and gone downstairs to see if I can hear it. Haven't been able to. I usually turn on my white noise machine just to distract myself from the mild noise because I get very easily distracted by sound, I usually don't even have the sound on the video I'm watching during it. On the rare occassion I have an empty house, I will use this without a blanket covering me, and it's not TOO loud but It's not silent. If you're not easily distracted, you'll be fine. Is this waterproof? Yes. It has a little rubber plug that is also removable for charging it. My plug fell out and I haven't put it back simply because I have only used it in water a few times, and it's rare that I do. With that being said, I've washed this plenty of times without the plug in, and I just take care to avoid the area where the rubber stopper goes. It still works. I actually prefer to use this dry, even without lube. I use it over my panties anyway, so I have no good comments on how watertight it is, but I'm sure it's good. Will it make you squirt? Idk! I've never been able to do that, but I've tried. It definitely does hit the g-spot, but I am a clitoral stimulation kinda girl, so I can't comment too much on internal use. It is definitely shaped to the curves of a vagina, and your muscles will kind of grab on to it, so it's not for rapid in and out motions. Using it that way doesn't hurt but it's slightly uncomfortable. Let's talk about the clitoral stimulation. The very tip of this vibrator has a little bit of vibration in it, so it feels nice lubed up and rubbed in small strokes when you lift the clitoral hood to fully expose it. It's good for detailing. The thickest part of the toy is where the vibration is. It can be awkward to use at first, but over the years I've learned how to angle it to get the bulbous part to encompass everything and stimulate everything at the same time. It also feels good when you use it on its side. Or on its backside. This vibrator is not designed for clitoral use, so I am not going to take away a star for it being shaped for a g-spot. I don't like using it internally because I feel like the bulbous part is too thick for rapid penetration. When I stick it inside, my muscles kind of wrap around it and suck it up to the point where the skinny middle part is at the very outside of my lips. According to my boyfriend, who is brutally honest so I believe him, I am tighter than most, so maybe it will be better for other girls. Are chargeable vibes the best invention? Yes! I hate batteries! Asking my dad for his battery box is awkward because the only things people use batteries for these days are TV remotes, which I don't have in my room. So I love that it's rechargeable. My ONLY complaint is the way the buttons flash when it's charging. If I'm using it while charging, it's covered by my blanket anyway, but when it's on the floor charging at night it's distracting. No big deal. The cord will reach from a power outlet or power strip to your bed. When it's dead, you will still be able to turn it on, but only for like 10 seconds. So if it dies when you're about to finish, you might be able to get a few more seconds out of it and finish, or keep turning it on every time it turns itself off until you get your desired result. What happens if you lose the charger? Have no fear! Yes, Lelo sells a replacement charger. For $20. Don't do it! I paid FIVE dollars for a replacement cable that worked perfectly and still allowed me to use it while charging. Just plug it into your computer or the charging block you plug your phone cord into. Search for "USB 2.0 male to 3.5mm 5V DC Power Cable Barrel Connector Jack Plug - WDLLC." I moved back home, and thought I lost my charger and I went without it for 2 horrible months because I tried every 5v adapter in my dad's workshop and none fit in the plug, and I couldn't figure out the dimensions of the cable. Luckily I figured out it's 3.5mm, and I found one on Amazon! The week after that, I found my charger in a box I hadn't unpacked yet. So now I have two :) QUALITY: I have had this for over 3 years. That should be a good indication. I use this toy 1-3 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Sometimes I'll go a few weeks without it if I'm in a funk. So I've used it a lot. I wish it could count how many times it's been powered on. That would be interesting to know. But I can assure you this is high quality. It honestly doesn't feel any less strong than the day I bought it. I have a small moving box filled with toys, and this one is the only one that sits in my nightstand instead. I use my other stuff every few months. I will definitely be using this until it craps out on me. If I remember correctly, it came with a sample packet of lube when I bought it, as well as a warranty card, and the box was plain black with "LELO" embossed on the top (no ink), but I wish it came with a bag too. All of my lower end toys usually come with a bag of some sort, so I was surprised. But it's fine. MATERIALS: The white handle part is plastic. The buttons are rubbery, and they are pretty easy to use. Mine is 3 years old, so the buttons are a little dingy looking. The body is smooth silicone I believe, but it still hard and not flexible. It's just nice and soft. It feels even softer when moistened. This is my first Lelo product. I also have their weighted vaginal Ben-Wa balls, but I have no idea how to benefit from them, so they're sitting in my closet. Lelo makes quality items that look much more expensive than they are, and I wish I could try more. I bought this item with my own money and was not compensated for a review or even asked to review the item. I WISH I was affiliated with Lelo, lol. I paid full price but it's still cheaper than buying it from their website :) Read more
