I bought this citric acid after watching some YouTube videos about cleaning the upper toilet tanks in my bathrooms. I'm in a rural area and use well water so there is no chlorine. Consequently, I get algae growth in the toilet tanks, and it is a chore to keep them clean. I don't like to use a lot of cleaning chemicals that go into the septic system that can disrupt the biological breakdown of the solid waste. I am amazed at how well and easy it works. Very little scrubbing and they have remained algae free since. I also cleaned a couple of old stainless steel insulated coffee mugs I have. The insides were stained black after years of use. I had previously tried soaking them in white vinegar with little cleaning effect. After letting them soak with citric acid inside for a couple of hours and a little scrubbing with a stainless steel scouring pad, they now look like new inside. Read more
