I have a Lenovo chrome book that came with a similar hub. The computer was doing all kinds of strange things that I just couldn't figure out. This device saved my sanity. The computer would start getting jitters and the mouse that i had, stopped working intermittently. my first step after troubleshooting the mouse was to disconnect the hub from the computer and work with the touch screen. I bought this in August 2023. Now, 19 months later, if I breathe too deeply in the same room, the connection to my HDMI cuts out. I know it's not the HDMI cord because that works fine plugged directly into my work laptop. The short started a few months ago, but it was if I moved the cord too far one way or another. While typing this review, the movement of typing has caused it to cut out three times. That's not super helpful while using the laptop. Until then, though, it worked great, especially for the price. When I first received the product, I couldn't get it to work. Not being the most technologically adept person, I figured it was me. After others couldn't get it to work either, I reached out to the company. They were very responsive and had me try a couple things which didn't get the unit to function. After we realized it was a faulty unit, they immediately sent a replacement. The new unit worked great and is a nice addition. The multiple USB-A ports make it nice for connecting an external keyboard, mouse and external hardrive. The HDMI end allows for my external monitor so I can use the laptop with a complete workstation at either work or home. Plus, the price is at the right point. The unit is what it is, however it's the service I received from the company that gets me to highly recommend buying this product. We don't get much good service from companies anymore, and my hard earned dollars will go to the ones that provide that. Read more

This is a very lightweight, small-footprint device that adds multiple ports to the scant few that are available on the MacBook Air. Because of the small screen size of that very portable, powerful machine, anyone who does financial or other business work on their laptop needs extra real estate and the HDMI port on this is one of the main reasons to use this. But critical to the value of the HDMI that allows expansion or mirroring is the power connection that would be otherwise occupied by the HDMI interface. Add to that the SD and microSD card slots to augment the SSD storage on the MacBook Air, as well as the 3 high-speed USB A ports (v 2.0 and 3.0) and you have the ultimate lightweight port expander for a traveller or office-hopping techie. I did have an issue of intermittent connection with the hub but the manufacturer gave me a couple of diagnostic procedures and when we'd confirmed that the source of the problem was the original hub we'd received, LENTION replaced it at no cost.
