So these are pretty good renditions of vintage apothecary jars. The glass quality itself is decent - feels heavy and hefty when held. Brown color is clean, and uniform throughout the glass. Part lines from manufacturing are not obtrusive.. These are sold as jars for use in your bath - and I'm sure they'll work fine that way. Unlike real apothecary jars, these have a rubber ring "seal" that lines the perimeter of the lid. As such, they have a level of "air seal" when press-fit into the jars. The 4 out of 5 stars is for the "sticker" sheet for labels. I appreciate they come in black or white tones (to help compliment your bath style), but they are look someone pedestrian. Not fabulous quality, and not sure they will hold up well in a wet / damp environment. Overall, I'm using them sans labels, and think they look pretty good! Read more

I'm always looking to make improvements to small-item storage in my house. If I can do this while adding some elegance, even better! This set of glass jars is a great addition to my effort. The jars are definitely more impressive in person than they are in the product description. The glass is nice and thick. They have a good weight. The jars have wide bottoms, which offers stability. The tops are also made of sturdy glass, with plastic inserts to help them close tightly. The tops take some effort to open, which is nice if you want a tight seal, but if you want quicker access I'd recommend removing the insert, which is what I did for one jar that stores cotton swabs. The jars are pretty large. I saw the 16oz note in the product description, but because of the glass thickness, these jars look quite a bit bigger than their capacity. This is a good thing to keep in mind if you plan to fit these on small shelves or in a medicine cabinet. The set comes with labels. I'm not using these, as I might change how I use the jars. The jars have tinted glass, but it's still possible to see inside, so labels might not be necessary anyway. These jars are terrific quality. Just be aware of the size! I recommend them. Read more

The glass is thick and these things are heavier than I expected. They don't feel cheap. Pretty standard rubber seals. They were packed in shaped foam padding inside the cardboard and you could store these in that if you really wanted to. Or for moving house later. The inside of the canister is a little bigger around than a soup can but not as tall with the lid closed. They'll be handy to organize stuff. Seems like the seal is good enough I'll be putting dried herbs in them when the garden gets em done. There are some stickers in black and in white for labelling them with a few standard bathroom products. They match the description. Read more
