I have a GSD and even with monthly grooming this purifier has helped a-lot. I use a cpap so irs important to keep the air in my room as clean as possible for my machine to work effectively. Cost was good and u need to subscribe to get new filters every few months depending on ur needs. I only use my unit at night while sleeping and keep the bedroom door shut. It also removes any odors. In a rush I bought a knock off filter replacement. I keep this air filter in my spare room where I have a litter box for 3 cats. I never smelled the box after I purchased this air filter.
