Alright - the reason I absolutely needed an air purifier was, well, obviously nobody wants to breath in dust.. duh!.. but the number 1 reason was I was tired of cooking smells lingering in the house to the point that my clothing (even clothes I hadn't been wearing at the time of cooking! would smell like last-nights dinner when I would leave the house. So, I took to my research. This Levoit HEPA filter constantly came up as one of the number 1 filters to purchase -It's a smart-filter.. you can login to the app and control fan speed, specify times to run, control noise, and you can even see what your Air Quality index is in the house.. and they overlay your inside AQI with the AQI reported in your geographical location. Awesome for data nerds! -Lots of options to control fan speed and noise. I set mine to auto, and at S1, the lowest setting, it's barelyyyyy audible. I can hear from `10 away just an ever so quiet whir of the filter. Conversely, lets say you're grilling outside and the grill smoke pours into the house (don't ask..), the filter whirs up in literally seconds to decontaminate the house... and of course on max setting, you can hear it. It resembles a small fan. It's mostly inobtrusive, but the filter works fast and as the AQI starts to drop, so does the fan speed. It doesn't take long. -There is a filter-minder in the app. No more guess work as to whether or not your filter is shot. The app tells you precisely how much filter life is remaining in % -Ah, the whole reason I bought it - to rid cooking smells. Yep, they're gone now. I haven't had one article of clothing (whether I'm wearing it or its in the closet) smell like last nights dinner since. And now, every time I walk into the house, it just smells like pure, clean air. Nothing funky whatsoever. -Additionally, the house always had a hint of mildew smell to it.. I'm theorizing it is coming from the HVAC vents but I'm not certain. Regardless, after using this filter, I don't even get a hint of that scent anymore -IT LOOKS AWESOME. It can either blend in with a well decorated room, or you can showcase it. It's a really neat looking piece of functional tech and I rather enjoy having it around. Read more

Amazing product with a great phone application. Easy to set up and it just works once you get it going. The way it adjust to the air quality and goes into “sleep mode” when set up is an ease. Replacing the filter is as simple as it gets. The display is easy to read and bright, but love how you can set a bed time mode to turn off. Seems durable and something that will last. Read more

I got rid of my old air purifier years ago and thought I wouldn't need one anymore. After a few years of allergies, I decided to see what was out there, and I picked this specific 300S model from Levoit as my choice for a NYC apartment. This is the perfect size for most rooms. It's not too overpowered or underpowered; it's just right. I chose the 'S' version because it has Smart capabilities like using it via an app, and it can also be tied to an Alexa. Secondly, it uses less energy than the original 300 version. I have mine set to automatic speed and to only turn on during waking hours. I know that this air purifier works at detecting things, because as soon as someone lights up indoors, a moment later it turns on full blast to clear the air. I think it doesn't like it when people smoke in the house, ya know what I mean? Also, it doesn't like it when we're cooking and there's smoke in the air. Overall, this item is compact, the filter is generally supposed to last six months, and it's smart enough to clean the air only when needed. I am thinking of getting another exact model or the next size up. Highly recommended. Read more

I love the smallness of the purifier. I started it up in October 2023 and have not turned it off since. I live in a small apt that I share with my 70 pound dog, Charlotte. We share a small, yet very clean place. When I first plugged this in, I had put it in my bedroom. I did not like it back there as it did not seem to be in the right place to help us the best. I have my king bed in the living room due to many surgeries and disabilities. So, I placed it up off the floor, on a stand, and noticed immediately that the air seemed fresher. Now, with time, I do not seem to notice that fresh air like I had before. I wonder why. I still have 45% on the filter and I have taken it out of the machine and used a nice, soft brush and removed “tons” of dust off of the transparent protective cover over the folded Louvers. When I look inside? Those are pretty darn packed with dust. The replacement filter is easy to clean the outside film and costs $30 to replace. So, I burn a lot of candles and you can see the color ring change when I light them up. The ring will turn orange or red. If things are going great, the ring will be bright green and always maintains a nice blue whenever things are all right. I did finally download the app. Via my iPhone and it gives me great information. Bluetooth. The filter will be super easy to change out. The machine is lightweight and easy to handle and seems to be ok standing on its head when you want to get to the filter. I do highly recommend that you brush that outside transparent sheath around the actual filter. It seems to help the machine to perform easier. It is quiet and emits a nice white noise for sleep. We live in a very small place and sometimes I do not know if it is doing its job, even when there is no cooking going on or candles burning. Yes, the colors change when challenged, but when we are laying around doing nothing or have been gone a few hours, I come home and the place does not smell like it has an air purifier working full time in here. This is a 550 sq foot apt. Surely, this is large enough to work here, right? Thank you. Debbie Read more

I love this air purifier. It works perfectly and is well made. It’s powerful. The auto fan speed is seamless. And it took about 45 seconds to remove the protective plastic, plug it in and turn it on. Zero learning curve plus the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity is simple to setup and operate with my phone. We also have the Levoit LVAC-300 Cordless Vacuum that’s equally spectacular. Read more
