I needed to replace a closet light and installed the Libtit 12-Inch Gold LED Ceiling Light. It added a mid-century refresh, and the result is stunning. The brushed gold finish adds a subtle touch of elegance without being flashy, and the low-profile design works well in rooms with standard ceiling height. The integrated LED casts a soft, even glow—bright enough for general use but not harsh. It’s a great balance of form and function. That said, this is not a plug-and-play fixture. Installation requires hardwiring, and I needed additional tools. I was able to go it mysel f but ideally a second set of hands. The instructions are clear but minimal, so if you’re not familiar with ceiling light installs, I recommend watching a quick tutorial beforehand. This light does it all. At max brightness, it is plenty bright enough to serve as a primary light, while at its dimmest - especially with the main light turned off and only the amber backlight on - it makes for a nice nightlight. The color temperature can be adjusted from fairly warm to quite cool - though I do wish the spectrum was more weighted towards the warm side. At its coolest, it is almost blue, while the warmest just hints at yellow. While I believe the primary use is intended to be via the remote --two triple a batteries NOT included--It owls well enough operated from a wall switch. You won't be able to dim it from the switch - in fact, I wouldn't want to try using it on a dimmer for fear of damaging the electronics - but it does remember the last setting, so you can set it to whatever you want and then just turn it on/off using the switch without issue. Installation was as easy as any other light fixture, and easier than some due to its light weight. Install the baseplate, attach the light fixture to hang from it via the included hanging wire, wire up the hot and neutral (no ground here), and twist the light fixture onto the baseplate. One potential difficulty here is that the base of the light does fit flush onto the baseplate, so if your ceiling has texture you may need to scrape some of that off to get the light to seat down properly.
