The honest best part about this collagen is that I didn’t need to dissolve it in HOT liquid and then cool it like I do with my normal collagen supplement. It blended well whether the liquid was my hot coffee or a glass of milk. The only time I had clumps was when I dropped the ice in before the powder, and even then, I just had to keep stirring for a bit longer. I appreciate that it’s unflavored, meaning I can add it to my morning beverage without worrying about clashing flavors (I’m looking at you, fruit-flavored fiber supplements!), and honestly, I’ve been getting compliments on my hair and my skin looking healthier. As a retired senior, I want to take all of the helpful supplements available to stave off the aging process. This “Life’s Fortune” Multi Collagen powder is meant to support hair, skin, nails, and Joints. The powder comes in a plastic canister with a screw-on lid. A scoop is included to measure a correct serving. (It's about 1-1/2 tablespoons.) The suggested use is 2 scoops/servings per day, added to a beverage or meal. I’m not sure how I’d add it to food, so I tried it in two beverages: 1. I added it to a protein powder shake I have every morning for breakfast. The shake has a pleasant albeit chalky flavor. When I added a scoop of the multi collagen it dissolved instantly, and changed the flavor of my shake slightly, but it wasn’t any better or worse with the addition. It also made my shake a bit more foamy on the top than usual. 2. In the afternoon I had a tall tumbler of hot water with a teabag each of green and white tea. After steeping the tea I stirred a scoop of the multi collagen in the tumbler. It dissolved instantly and changed the color of the tea from brown to mocha. It actually tasted as if I’d added a powdered creamer. Since I like cream in my tea on occasion, I enjoyed the blended beverage. This multi collagen powder has no noticeable taste or smell. It also didn’t leave an aftertaste or upset my digestion in any way. In fact, it has a blend of enzymes intended to support digestion. Included in this supplement are 18 amino acids in small quantities, which happen to also be in my breakfast protein shake in larger quantities. I feel good about trying this product because it’s made in the USA with all non-GMO ingredients. I wish the Supplement Facts listed how many calories are in each serving. There must be some, and I’d like to know how this product will impact my daily caloric intake. Life’s Fortune’s phone number is on the canister, so I’ll try to find out. Each canister has 30 servings. If you use it twice daily as recommended, then each canister will last 15 days, and the twin-pack will last at month. At approximately $65 dollars for the pair, it’ll cost a little over $2 per day for this multi collagen supplement. I’ve seen other collagen products that cost less, but it will take a serious investment of time to compare ingredients, quantities, & prices among products. This is the first collagen powder I have ever got so I do not have anything to compare it to however, there were a few things I was looking at when deciding whether or not this was any good. First thing is that it comes very well packaged and is easy to store and use as you like. The powder itself was easy to mix into my smoothie and I could not taste a difference nor was there a texture change to the drink either. As for how the powder goes, it looks like it has been made very well and the texture is consistent, no clumps or anything as it looks very fresh. I think it is too early to tell if it has any true benefits but I am very hopeful. As for how much it costs, just going on how much you get, the ingredients and how well it is packaged and fresh, I would say definitely. Before adding collagen to my morning routine, my nails had started to ridge and crack, my hair was feeling unhealthy, and my skin was losing elasticity. Through the years, I have tried many different brands of collagen. It typically takes at least 2 months of daily usage before I can judge if a specific brand works with my body. I have only been using this Life's Fortune Multi Collagen for one week so this review will focus on what I've noticed so far. The canisters contain 10.61 oz/300.8 g of Types I, II, III, V, and X collagen, Blended with Digestive Enzymes. Each serving is approximately 10 grams and offers 10 g of collagen blend and 25 mg of digestive enzyme blend. I appreciate the variety of collagen types in this blend and that the powder is produced in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility in the USA. The price point for 2 months of this collagen is comparable to other brands. When I add a scoop to my cup then pour my coffee over, the powder does not full dissolve without stirring or using my milk frother. Even then, there are small lumps remaining. I removed a star for this. I haven't noticed any smell or flavor, a big plus. I will continue using this Life's Fortune Multi Collagen for 2 months while monitoring the growth of my nails.
