Ordered these pants last minute to wear on Christmas Eve for a casual lunch and comfortable day at home. They are absolutely beautiful and of high quality. I am normally a small to medium in pants like this but had to order a large since it was the smallest size available. While they are obviously way big on me, I don't mind at all. Initially I thought I could just cinch them up with the drawstring but that was impossible since it runs on the inside, so the sides just stuck out while the string was tight. Took the string out and used a belt instead, which worked out great thanks to the belt loops. They are true to color as shown and the velvety material is nice and thick. Have not washed them yet, so I don't know how they will hold up, but imagine they'll be just fine. Would definitely buy again and might get them in green if they bring them back in small or at least medium. Read more

This is my first pair of velvet trousers and I love’ em. They’ve been a big part of my wardrobe so far this fall. The cut is chic, the style is classic, and the material is luxurious. The brown color is rich and autumnal. Oh, and the price is good! Style: these pants are a loose fit with more of a straight leg style. They aren't dressy in any way, but that's part of what makes them so appealing visually: it's a mix of fancy fabric and a low-key cut. They have an interesting detail at the waist: a built-in extra-wide drawstring belt that is threaded through large silver eyelets. The belt goes inside the pants on the sides of the waist, so you can't cinch it too tight or the pants stick out oddly. It's slightly weird, but you could always remove that drawstring belt if you wanted to replace it with a regular belt worn entirely on the outside. Material: this is technically velveteen, not velvet, so you can toss it into the washer and dryer. That does mean that it doesn't have that super-luxurious drape and texture of real velvet. But c'mon...velvet-type pants that you can put in the washing machine? That's a winner in my book. Read more

These are not baggy. They are cut very strange with a very strange configuration of a drawstring, and they are very short so if you’re long legged or tall, these are not gonna work for you. Also, the color is burgundy not Crimson like I was hoping for overall fairly disappointed in the purchase for the price. Read more
