This has been a great versatile table! We’ve had it since October and aside from some challenges with the clarity of directions, it’s been a great multi-functional coffee table, storage area and work space. It moves on wheels with multiple files stored in the cabinets. It’s been used open for dinners and puzzles etc. I like that it can be stabilized with the bases next to the wheels (though we haven’t used this feature). We have it on hardwood floors and while it moves when wanted, it doesn’t slide unless we want it to based on the solid materials and weight of storage in the lower compartments. It looks nice and feels very sturdy as a coffee table/storage space! The only reasons I don’t give it five stars is because of the assembly challenges and it isn’t as easy to open and close the top to access that storage and smaller work table as I hoped. *It does open, it just doesn’t open seamlessly/without a little effort to make sure it opens evenly, and I worry I’ll break the arms (though I haven’t!). My only cautions regarding opening fully: 1. It doesn’t open in a way that feels smooth/steady, and I have to manually lift the lower portion to support it. 2. When it is fully open, it definitely doesn’t take much weight (pay attention to the manufacturers suggested weight restrictions on the part). What should potential buyers know? DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!!! I would have returned this 100+ lb piece of crap if we could have gotten the 3 million pieces back in the god forsaken box!!!! I want a refund!!!!!! To say it’s cheaply made is an understatement. The decorative wooden strips came apart in the shipping box so I had to use glue to put those back on. The entire thing is held together with cheap glue and staples that can be seen. The square top isn’t level when attached so we couldn’t use it as described. You will have to reinforce it with your own wood glue and stronger screws to use it. I am so disappointed in this furniture purchase from Amazon. I have bought different furniture items from Amazon in the past and this is the first one that hasn’t been up to par. We will probably put up with this fiasco a week or two until we find another coffee table for our purpose. This one may as well be used for kindling. Oops sorry, it’s not real wood- won’t burn.
