Wow! This torch lighter is a beast! It was on empty when I received it, but I had some butane on hand and filled it up… I was impressed! The flame jetted out a few inches as a visually appealing red and actually resembled a saber due to its design. It has a safety switch that you must activate before ignition, but it is easy to operate and works great! You can switch the color of the flame from red to blue by removing the coil, which was also easy to do. An impressive lighter that will certainly garner curious attention! Read more

Super cool for the price. It has the same flame length, if not longer than the hacksmith mini saber. For 1/10 of the price. The red is super vibrant but will naturally fade as the material burns up. I wish they sold replacement color changing disks, as they are easily removable. But something tells me the ones they sell for the hacksmith saber would work as well. Great present. Don’t believe internet hype about “Torch Lighter” as cool as it looks and the videos of it in operation. I can’t understand why anyone would make a device that is so flawed and sell it via AMAZON with the illusion that it reliably works. There are so many other working reliable alternatives. It’s a miniature “garden variety” torch with a light saber presentation. Kinda Cool. Ease of use - fails in both categories 1.) Butane filling port is non standard - the refill cylinders commonly available will not adequately seal the port for a successful refill operation. If you persist you will get some of the butane into the device while wasting much of the butane being lost to the surroundings because of a poor fit. I later found out you can buy adapter pieces sold separately 1 or 2 of them may work. Device should come with a set - otherwise it’s a DIY project for you to get the darn thing filled. 2.) The ignition striker failed in about 3 days of light use - no spark produced to ignite the torch. Other review postings report similar problems. I don’t believe it’s a production problem. It’s a design issue with use of cheap or inferior parts. If you do manage to get the thing to work the flame size is significant as shown in listing photos and resilient under windy conditions. It’s not a high tech item - it’s unfortunately a pain to deal with and unreliable. I cannot make any comment on fuel capacity because it didn’t operate long enough to find out. If you need a toy to play with and don’t mind fussing with it - rather than using it to get something done …. you might convince yourself to give it a try. The media could not be loaded. Best $16 you’ll ever spend. Cons: —-The red (which I preferred) stopped working after a while. I think it may need a refill ring but as others have said, there are no instructions. —-Does it look like a specific lightsaber? No. But this is not officially licensed. I am surprised they even use the word lightsaber. —-refilling is a tiny bit tricky but not too bad —- while the build quality is good, there is one little rough place on the bottom that should have been deburred Pros: —-This thing is awesome. Good build quality. The flame is powerful and long (or short with an easy flame adjustment) —- The safety is either always on or always off. You don’t have to keep it pressed in. It’s very easy to work with. Great functionality. —- show your friends a photo of this, and they want one. See it in person and they want it more. Even if the aren’t a Star Wars fan. —- The box is very cool. Something you’ll want to keep it in.
