I bought this to use with my cell phone, so I'm probably not using it to its full potential. I think I come pretty close. BUILD: It feels very sturdy! The legs covers are really, REALLY grip-y and flexible. I've been able to bend it into several different shapes now. I was able to get it to grab onto a vertical, metal rod about an inch in diameter, and I'm sure it would work on any other material with a slightly lower coefficient of friction. Although, you can re-straighten it pretty easily, it doesn't lose its altered form. Definitely seems like it will be functional for several years. The phone grip attachment is made of plastic, has 2 orientations of attachment, and has a foam pad for where your the back of the phone would be touching. It also seems to fit all phone sizes. Because the phone grips are also made out of plastic, the only potential problem I could see people having is ending up with a scratched phone if they're not using a phone case. However, I feel like almost everyone uses a phone case, so this will probably only affect a small number of the population. The ball-and-socket can be rotated vertically 180 degrees along a single vertical plane, and what looks to be around 30 degrees all around the axis perpendicular to the ground. Also, the attachment has a full 360-degree rotation along the plane parallel to the phone. BLUETOOTH: (I'm using an Android phone.) Pairing was very straightforward. As stated in the tiny manual: turn on Bluetooth on phone, switch on the remote, and click "AB Shutter 3" when it shows up on the list. The remote just presses the capture button, so it appears you can use it with all camera modes. I did tests for regular photo and video using the default Camera app on my phone. They do have options to download their own app, but I don't like clutter and didn't bother testing it out. CONCLUSION: 5-stars. The only thing i'd like to to see improved is implementation of a rubberized/padded grip on the phone attachment, but this doesn't affect me at all as I do use a phone case. I can't think of any other improvements that would detract from the sturdiness of its current build! Would definitely recommend getting this product. Read more

This tripod is very sturdy, reliable, rugged and easy to use. I used it on a variety of surfaces and you can even use the flexible legs to attached it to poles and other areas that would be impossible to attach to with traditional tripods. I bought this since it was cheap and had the flexible legs. It serves its purpose very well and the remote is a very nice addition, but I haven't gotten around to using it yet. With this simple design, I don't foresee this breaking anytime soon. Read more

This is a pretty good product. The "legs" are tight which is great for stability. The legs are a good length too which means you can use it as a short selfie stick as well! The one thing I noticed is that the arm that holds your phone is a decent size but will be a little tight for larger phones on the market. My OnePlus 8 Pro fits well but is a little tight. Finally, the remote is responsive from a decent distance away and easy to set up. It has an on/off switch which is great to save battery. Read more

This is an awesome little tripod. The flexibility is fantastic and allows me to take photos no matter where I am. It seems durable enough and is able to hold a Samsung S21 in an Otterbox Commuter case. The remote connects quickly and easily and works simply. It also works well on my desk to take product photos in my small light box. I only have two small gripes. First, is that between the width of the phone, phone mount, and where the legs attach, the phone is several inches high when trying to get low on a flat surface. The second is that the legs aren't quite strong enough to pinch on to something, it has to be able to wrap around a mounting object. Neither were enough for me to dock a star. Fits easily in a backpack and is light enough to take hiking. Works great! Read more

Really handy for holding your iphone or ipad while zooming. Love the flexible legs which nicely hold ny ipad while using. Great for reading from the ipad. Extremely easy to use. Very sturdy quality. Bluetooth shutter control for taking group pictures was super easy to set up and use. Only minor complaint is that it takes a bit of force to open up the clamp to hold the iphone. Prefer the design where it's starts open and you squeeze it shut and then push button to release. Still a terrific well designed device at a very reasonable price. Read more

Great way to position my phone on many uneven surfaces. Legs hold their shape and are grippy. Camera is snug, no worries of it falling out of holder. The small fob to take pictures with works great. Instructions say fob works 30 ft away, it was more like 20 ft, but it works. This has worked great for us. It's lightweight and portable. It works with my Samsung phone. Read more

It could be more stable. It could be easier frame a shot. If you're shooting on a flat surface, and want to position the legs for a better angle...you might be better off getting an easel, canvas, paint, a couple of brushes and just painting the image by hand, because you're going to need that amount of patience to get your phone to stay where you want it if one of the legs is positioned differently than the other two. However, it is handy if you need to mount your phone to something like the top rail of a fence for a good shot. Once the legs are bent into position, they're pretty sturdy. This might be a good option to keep around as a backup for your regular tripod that requires a flat surface, if you don't have a flat surface to set on. Read more
