I have only had this belt for a few days and so far I really like it. It looks good, it fits well and the mechanism for tightening and loosening is smooth. I am a 36 inch waist so the full length of this belt was way too much for me so I had to adjust it. Just flip open the gripper with the included flathead screwdriver and measure the length you need and snip the end off with some good sharp scissors. (cut the flat end of the belt, not the rounded end) Place the end back into the buckle and close up the gripper. The belt is held in place with a ratchet system, teeth on the inside of the belt and the pawl on the buckle. Each notch is about 1/5 inch which gives you more size options than a hole every inch on a standard type belt. The pawl is disengaged by pressing a small lever on the lower side of the buckle allowing the belt to loosen for adjustment or removal. The whole mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. it seems sturdy enough to last a while. The belt itself is leather wrapped with some kind of composite for the core and double stitched down the length of the belt. I am sure that this belt will give more years of use than other standard belts I have worn since I don't have to use that extra bit of force to make it to the next hole. This belt is classy enough to wear to the office and cool enough to wear with jeans. Go buy one. Read more
