Love this item! I was becoming aware of how much I was slumping or craning my neck forward to look at my iPad when it was on the table or counter. Most of the stands that I saw didn't raise the device high enough, but this stand works perfectly to bring it up closer to eye level. It adjusts easily from side to side, by height and by angle. The spring that holds both sides of the stand tight against the iPad is very strong (as it needs to be) so it takes some getting used to at first. I get my iPad in and out a couple times a day, and definitely knocked the whole thing over and pinched my finger a couple times before getting a handle on it. Otherwise, it's very steady because the base is weighted. It will also hold my Samsung Galaxy in an upright position, so that's a bonus. This was a great buy for me. Read more

I was looking for a base to hold my ipad pro while I work. This works well. However, because the Ipad pro 12.9 is quite heavy, specially if you have the extra protection case, the base can be a bit unstable at certain angles. I solved this issue by stabilizing the base with a heavy object on the base, which is wide enough. I used a can of paint. Now, this only happens when I have the Ipad on vertical with the heavy case. This stand is sturdy and able to grip an iPad with thick (heavy) case. My case has a handle on the back. I had to move it up and out of the way so that the iPad with case would fit the grip. The stand has a good range of height and screen angle. I use my iPad for online music lessons and my teacher needs the iPad to be at a specific angle so he can see me and my instrument. I read reviews before buying and thought this might work but it is not stable enough. using an iPad Pro, 12.9” screen… Inside a otterbox defender case.. The cover of the otter box (protects the screen and can be used as a stand) had to be removed as it made the iPad to thick to be gripped and the device holder portion would just snap closed. With that cover off, the stand separates the two clasps enough to be on either side is the narrow side of the ipad. It feels stretched to the limit (like a rubber band about to break) but it held. However, the entire stand is not very stable. It can be balanced to stand up but a slight bump to the stand or iPad or table would knock or over. Being very careful it lasted about 15 minutes before I had to grab it quickly as it fell. I was alone, no kids or pets or anyone else that would make it harder to keep safe. The only way to have the iPad in front of your face is to have the top of the stand bent so the weight of the iPad is to one side. I had the largest part of the base under where the iPad was and it was barely balanced to not top over if I was not holding it. To make it secure you would need to clamp down the base or tie it down the th me desk tight and if it got bumped hard it might still get knocked over. Other issues, there is a gold metal ring that is tightened to hole the stand at the height you want. But it comes loose very easily, so it could lower the stand while you were using it (in this case causing the iPad to fall onto the table/desk). Read more

I would think that something this dependable and versatile would cost much more... but it's a fantastic value! It works equally well holding my phone, iPad, or tablet and is extremely easy to assemble. Because the base is weighted, this stand is amazingly stable, even when fully extended. This being said, I'm actually on my second one in 5 years: I made a (bad) habit of bending the neck every time I put the stand away, which was a terrible idea. After 5 years of regular bending, the plastic coating finally gave way. Now I store the device without the bend; I expect it to last for at least 20 years. Hope it works for you! Read more

I use this all the time when I am on Zoom using my Samsung tablet. Even though my tablet was not one of the ones mentioned that this stand would accommodate, I took a chance that it would fit, and it did. It screws together very quickly, and I can take it on the road because it is so compact when put away in its box. It has a heavy sturdy base which will not let your tablet tip over, and the grips are very solid as well. It extends a few inches with a quick turn, so although you cannot put it on the floor and use it for a Zoom conversation, any table will do, no matter the height. One of my Zoom pet peeves is looking up people's nostrils, and with this stand you can adjust it so that the camera height is at eye height. It's been perfect for my needs! Read more
